'Zero Sum World'.The idea for this song came from a remark I heard a character make in the excellent US TV series 'Treme'. More information available, plus lyrics, here.I used BIAB RealTracks: - RealTracks style _SJAZBL2 Smooth Jazz Ballad - Slide guitar solo 382 Background Blues Ev. I added strings, synth, some more rhythm guitar, and vocals. John

John, What a gorgeous production! Love your voice too. Good song. I like the way you've used the title and your unique perspective in the lyrics ring with emotional truth without sounding too contrived. Ironic you got this idea off a tv show because I think it would be a great track to pitch for film/tv.  Well done! Josie

Really nice production and mixing. Everything seems clear and in its own little space. Good stuff, for sure. It does seem a bit "hot" to me, but that's easily changed. Good use of the slide guitar(s) and overall fine performance.

Ade, Kevin, thanks, you're right. I use TRacks and FabFilter ProL to get a loud and punchy mix, but I think I should just throttle this one back a tad.
