A RealBand 2012 Build 6 update patch is available:
www.pgmusic.com/support.realband.htm

Summary of fixes for build 6:

Fixed: Improved timing and audio quality when generating partial ranges or with multiple-tempo changes.

Fixed: Silence issue when generating a selected range with multiple-tempos.

Fixed: File Utilities, Change Dir had no affect when "File Prefs - Open & Save As Dialogs Remember Last Folder Independently setting" was enabled.

Fixed: K4 command in Chords window didn't copy the 4th bar properly.

Fixed: Help button in RT Change dialog did not work.

Fixed: Generate MIDI Track erased a corresponding realtrack.

Fixed: Undo wasn't working for generate MIDI track or Generate MIDI Solo if the track was originally a blank audio track.

Fixed: "Crashes Realband.SEQ" either crashed (if notation was open) or froze if notation wasn't open.

Fixed: Access violation in "Last Farewell" when clicking on track 8 of leadsheet.

Fixed: Ask if it's okay to change the time sig.

Fixed: Clicking on the big piano would not highlight a note if all the tracks were audio.

Fixed: MIDI Expression not defaulting to 127 if a MIDI track is generated but the track previously was an audio track. This was causing silent MIDI playback.

Fixed: Right-clicking on overview section of tracks window to apply an audio effect (like fade out) to multiple-selected tracks, did not work.

Fixed: If changing the bars per screen in Notation Window, and then later pressing play, the notation would revert back to the old bars per screen when the notation advances beyond the current screen.

Fixed: Fx Button was not loading the correct BMP file.

Fixed: "Select and Generate Loop..." would also generate unwanted RealTracks.

Fixed: If an MGU or SGU song contained a style change, RealTracks would not be generated beyond the point of a style change.

Fixed: File - Open From Clipboard did not work unless the Initial Track Type was set to MIDI.

Fixed: Background color of an audio event might extend beyond the length of the audio data in the case of multiple tempos.

Fixed: If a song is loaded, and ASIO is used, and play button is pressed while a SetupEffects initialization routine was being executed, then an access violation could occur. In other words, if play was pressed "too soon" after a song is loaded, then an access violation could happen. This is more likely in songs with a lot of effects.

Fixed: Access violation if more than 4 pairs of MME ports were used.

Fixed: If tracks were currently soloed, pressing the master solo button on the main toolbar would not unsolo them.

Fixed: Solo'd tracks were not reset back to normal if File - New command was executed or if a new file was loaded.

Fixed: Clicking on F/X button on Tracks window or clicking on overview section of track might cause solo'd tracks to appear un-solo'd.

Fixed: Midi Devices window sometimes opened behind the main screen, causing the program to appear frozen.

Fixed: Opt > Pref > restore 'never ask again' questions. whether you click yes or no the pref window gets hidden behind the main one.

Fixed: FlashMessage - "Style Can Change Patches" has been disabled in order to preserve the patch change that you just made - sometimes appeared unnecessarily.

The fix on the regeneration of realtracks when the song has a tempo change is a huge one in my estimation, because it ties closely into some of the unique things that Realband can do that other DAWs can't. A big thanks to PG Music for fixing this. It works fine now.

I am so glad this timing / regeneration problem was real and was fixed.... I had been wondering if it was something I was doing wrong, or maybe a basic program limitation.

Thank You, PG.

Thanks for fixing the SOLO Icon button, but I would still like to see a better colour differentation between the Mute and Unmute track state.

I have noticed that the pointer lock ups, I have experienced when loading files, have ceased - I hope permanently.
