This has been happenning a lot since I changed to BIAB 2012.... I would be creating a song and then make a change of some type, add chords, change style etc. and it will then "play" with the bars moving but no sound. I will save song, exit BIAB, and then restart BIAB and the song starts to play again with sound. It is really unpredictable. It doesn't happen after every change but often enough to be annoying. Any ideas? Is this only happenning to me? Is there a bug?

Kristen,
A couple of questions spring to mind ...
Do you have external equipment connected to your set-up? When you change the chords, do you do it on the fly (i.e. why the program is playing) or make the changes and then regenerate?

Are the tracks frozen? I had a similar issue a short time ago.

Tracks not frozen. I stop the song. Make changes, and start again. It regenerates which takes a few seconds. Then starts to play ( the bars "move") but no sound. What I do when this happens is stop the song from "playing", save the changes, close BIAB and reopen the song again and it works(plays). As I had mentioned, this happens intermittently.

Hi Kristen,
Is there anything running in the background? Things like anti-virus, anti-spyware, automatic updates etc.
You might want to try the following things after you get no volume but before you restart BiaB:
1-check your volume controls both in BiaB and on your soundcard. Maybe something is lowering the volume to zero.
2-Check in the audio devices and see it your soundcard is still selected. If it is you may want to unclick it then re-click it again and see if that helps.
3-check and make sure your tracks are not muted

Virtual audio cable run amok? I've had this problem, though not with BIAB.
