OP Philsaxophone Apprentice Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 117 Weybridge, Surrey, UK	I'm not too sure where to post this question so apologies if this is not the right place I use BinaB windows for making backing tracks for a small jazz ensemble--Saxes, Clarinet, Flute I use Ultrapluspak 2012 now I though I had everything sorted for choosing a style that would suit anything the group wanted to play --I have done over 150--but after doing this for 5 years I have finally come unstuck A jazz "classic" called Comin Home Baby This is the youtube link to the Herbie Man version which is what I'm trying to get close to--its got a very long intro http://youtu.be/jiCV4Xna684 The sheet music says "Soul Jazz" whatever that means--I felt it had a slightly latin feel but cant get anything to work Has anyone by any chance made a track for this--Bass, Drums, Elec or Acoustic piano My hair is going greyer by the day Tx Phil

Mike Laatz Apprentice M Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 207 South Africa	There are times when it's just not possible to get the sound you want with BIAB real tracks. What I do at times like this is the following: I search the net for a decent MIDI version of the song, then import it into BIAB, and mute the melody track (the one on the MIDI). It's useful to move that track onto BIAB's soloist track before muting, because you'll then have a printout available of the song's melody. Hope that helps. Mike Laatz Cape Town
