I have tried to refine my question so that I can get more specific help here: I can't seem to get the input VU meters to register when I'm trying to record using a microphone with BIAB. I have a Steinberg soundcard with the CI1 interface, which has two microphone inputs and a phantom power button on both channels. This has an Yamaha Steinberg ASIO driver. I have a Shure microphone (actually, two microphones plugged into channels 1 & 2). These are powered microphones that have a battery in them. In the audio settings, I have selected ASIO for the driver. In the ASIO drivers window, I have selected the Steinberg as my driver. When I close this window, it says that this ASIO driver is untested. However, the help directories says that Steinberg is the one that invented the ASIO driver. So I would think that it should work! I'm at a loss to determine why I can't record using this setup. Can anyone help me? Thank you Tom http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/confused.gif
