Turion 64x2 TL58 4GB Ram W7/64 BIAB2012 (Inspiron 1501 lapatop)
GeekBench 2015-ish (over 2k, can't remember the exact last 2 digits, maybe 2040?)
Tascam US-122MkII
I've tried the Tascam driver and its horrible. I grabbed the latest ASIO4ALL v 2.11 Beta driver, its better.
ASIO4ALL defaulted to 512k buffer. I bumped it to 640.
I'm using real tracks.
I STILL get a crackle about every 10 seconds.
AntiVirus off.....Any thoughts? Keep pushing the buffer up?

-I would push it up to 1024 to see if it levels out.
Watch for CPU spikes if there is any in the task manager/process tab.
-If you think it may not be the audio driver, it could also be an expired plugin, I know the Coyote Forte DXI plugin when expired will introduce an interrupt in the music (like clockwork) roughly every 10 seconds. So it may be an expired plugin of some sort.
-The other item I would look at is laptop specific, make sure the control panel/power options is set to a high performance power scheme.
-If necessary you can also visit the RealTracks settings dialog (if your issue tends to happen with RealTracks) and if you have high quality tempo/pitch stretching enabled you and clear that check box temporarily to see if it helps any.

1024 helps I set the power to High Performance and reset the Plugged in to Never ever EVER!!!!  But it still snaps every10 seconds or so. Expired plugin...hmmmmm I see a Coyote in the DXI...don't remember loading it. THought it was a limited that came w/ BIAB? Here's another clue....the Windows Media Player is crackling too......very strange. I'm thinkin about reloading windows 7 in 32 bit mode. THis is a couple of year old lappy, I'm pushin it a bit I think. You think a reload to 32 would stabilize? (I'm gettin REALLY tired of reloading...workin on my desktop too.... sigh ...)

I don't want to take your computer to far from original settings but the other thing I might try is to disable wireless internet temporarily. I know this doesn't make much sense on the surface but can in rare occasions, help.

Thanks Rob....good idea. I know what you mean about 2 far off orig...but I'd like to solve this so I'll try it. I'm backed up& ready to reload. Heh...on second thought....I hope the wifi isnt the problem cuz I'm DIGGIN the Droid Remote control
