I seem to recall that it should be possible to just copy the folders with PT, BIAB and RealBand from my old computer to my new computer - is it true? That would be a godsend as I've been using the programs for 11 years and have collected a lot of extra styles and changes in patch lists and other stuff I even can't remember. If I need to reinstall the software all the accumulated modifications and extras would be lost.
So, can I just transfer the folders, or are there extra steps I need to take to get the software working?

RB & RT can just copy the folders.You can copy the BIAB folder as well but something has to be done after because of the files for RTs & RDs. Not sure what.I think then you just reinstall BIAB over your existing one you copied over and it'll keep all of your special stuff as well as fix the ST2 files for the RTs. Easy enough to try.

Yep, definitely easy enough to try, thanks! I will do that. But I'll start with PT as that as my main software. It's fantastic that you can just copy the folders. So convenient!

Hi Ola
Some of the things which Power Tracks installs are in different folders. For example, the PG music plug-ins are usually placed in the PROGRAMS FOLDER on the C drive. You would need to copy these across as well and if the directory path is different, that is, if PT can't find them, you will have to re-register them. The same goes for any VSTs which you may have stored somewhere other than the PT folder.
If you have any problems with this, get back to us.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. The VST:s I was aware of, but the PG music plug-ins I had almost forgotten about. I'll give it a try later this evening when I'm back home.
