Realband 2012
I have a drum midi file that has all hi hat stick hits. I want to change all of these to pedal hi hat. Iam not at my home computer right now , so I do not know the midi numbers for these hits. Is there a way in the piano roll or event list to change all midi number "?" to midi number "?". I dread the thought of having to edit each individual hit...Bobby

Hi Bobby.
1) In the PIANO ROLL window, click on a piano note to select all the notes on that line.
2) Hold SHIFT and click and hold on the selected notes and drag them to the new line.
That's it.

Highlite desired track.
Edit - Pitch Transpose MIDI
Enter the 'Value' as how many half steps you want to transpose the note you need moved (use '-' key if transposing down).
!Check the box for Data Filter!
Click OK and then select the note range and MIDI channel you want to transpose. Like MIDI channel 10 and note range Eb3 - Eb3 to change that one note on that channel.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I knew that! I just didn't know it when I made the post at 2am. After going to sleep and then getting up and thinking about it I knew the answer was select all, in the piano roll, and then drag my note. Thank you Rog for your response.
Rharv- The whole kit is on the same track, so a transposition would change all the notes. Off hand I don't know if the filter allows you to exclude notes. I'll take a look. Thanks for your help...Bobby

The Filter in "CUT" or "COPY" allows for two separate actions - you can select a range in the first panel and another in the second by checking the "Use Secondary Filter" Box.
There is another way to deal with this problem. As you have a single drum instrument being used then, select the Classic Tracks Window and then the drum track. The Closed Hi Hat is Note 42 and the Pedal Hi Hat note 44 - two semitones apart. Change the entry in the "Key" column to 2 and this will change the sound. When you have a full drum track then use Edit > Split Drums first which allows you to test each drum instrument separately.
Experiments using this method can produce interesting variations in percussion sounds very easily.

I have never used classic view, thank you for the info, never new that. I got my track the way I want it. Thanks again guys...Bobby
