Pretty great show. They're getting a little sappy with the thick back-stories, but the dancin' is off the hook.
Its very "American Idol"-esque in its seasonal layout....got the goofballs that embarrass themselves early on...I could live w/out that. But all in all its a great DVR hour w/ the wifey.
Any other fans?

Someone--Baryshnikov, I think--once said of ballet something to the effect that anything less than the absolute best is boring. That's how I feel about a lot of things, but dance in particular. It's just not my thing. But when I do look in on DWTS and its clones I am generally jaw-droppingly amazed. It's a shame that many of those people are voted off. To my untrained sensibilities they all look first class.

Is it different than that ridiculous Dancing with The Stars? My god where do they find those people and why do they think they can dance? A few have been good. Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith... sports is SO close to dancing with the discipline and physical training it requires. In fact, some years back, Willie Gault from Da Bears did a performance of Swan Lake. And nailed it.
Warren Sapp, on the other hand, I thought I was watching a leather couch during an earthquake.....

Its really nothing like DWTS...which I find unwatchable personnaly. Its kids,its many styles of dance including ballroom,but much less dance-contesty with numbers on your back sorta thing.
Its American Idol-esque but with more dancing than AI has singing.
Like anything,its not for everyone ,but the wifey and I find it delightful .
