I have a large library of tunes in PG format that I cannot easily use on my new tablet. The BIAB tunes are made into audio files that I play on the tablet. I convert my charts to pdfs and view in Mobilesheets. Unfortunately there is no direct way to use BIAB directly on the tablet. I own the Android app but see little value to this as a stand alone. I also have Irealb but the chord charts are pretty basic and the sound quality is a non issue since I use biab for generating my audio tracks. Irealb does allow viewing and transposition of charts but since the format is not compatible it is of very limited value. It would be great if PG would create a simple mobile viewer for those of us performing with tablets.
With my tablet I can quickly find lyrics, and look up fakebook tunes, and download just about any tune but can't access hundreds of charts I have customized over the past 10 plus years.
I never saw the value of tablets until I tried one. Most musicians young and old that have seen this are ready to make the transition. I hope PG will support the very popular tablets with their great software. How about a simple BIAB mobile viewer to get started? With prices dropping to around $300 for quad cores with 10 in screens and below $200 dollars for 7 in models a lot of musicians will be looking for software before Xmas.. I wouldn't be surprised if this already underway at PG.

Surprised by the lack of interest in my post.. Every musician I know (dozens) that own a mobile device have e purchased Irealb whether for iPhone or Android. Unfortunately this app is not even close to BIAB and is not compatible with BIAB files. If PG music doesn't have the time to work on this then perhaps an app developer could be licensed to do so. If you have any interest in this please let PG know.. With millions of portable devices being sold new standards will emerge and my hope is that BIAB format will become the portable standard for music creation and viewing on tablets.

Typically June-July time-frame the upgrade versions will probably be announced.

You can embed sound files in pdf files and have them play.
This will depend on the robust nature of your pdf making application.
You can do way more with pdf if you actually use the real product.
I had pdf slideshows with embedded music in applications 7 years ago, before I retired.
so what happens is when you press next the sheet loads and the music starts. It waits for a keystroke to play the next one.

Thanks for the info.. I didn't know that pdfs files could have audio embedded.
My goal however is to have a mobile version of Band In THE BOX that at least allows me to view and transpose files on a live gig.. Mobilesheets does everything I hoped for for displaying finished charts, lyrics and plying audio. In a pinch for requests that I don't know I use Irealb.. While there are many jazz standards in this format they generally are not as good as what I have found for Band In a Box. Having used PG products it is a shame to have to switch to a much less sophisticated product lacks compatibility with my studio charts which are always done in BIAB.
The best case scenario would be some degree of file compatibility between BIAB and Mobilesheets. Unfortunately ihis would be better than nothing but would lack the ability to do live transposition.
I will pass along the audio embedding idea to the developers.
