Hallo an alle,
ich habe auf der amerik. Homepage über das neue Programm "Real Band" gelesen.
Meine Fragen hierzu:
was unterscheidet "BiaB" von "Real Band" und wann wird es davon eine deutsche Version geben?
Sollte man auf eine Box-Version mit deutschem Handbuch warten?

RealBand ist eine Art "Verschmelzung" der besten Funktionen von Band-in-a-Box und dem Sequenzer Powertracks Pro.
Momentan sind mir keine Pläne bekannt dieses Programm in einer anderen Sprache zu veröffentlichen.

Ist aber schade, für mich wäre das wohl die "Waffe" für Songwriting.
Welche Funktionen von Powertracks sind denn includiert und welche nicht ?
Läuft die englische Version denn problemlos mit der deutschen BiaB 2008.5 ?
Oder ist es sinnvoller, die normale Powertracks-Version zu benutzen?
Die wollte ich nämlich diesen Monat bestellen, bin jetzt aber unsicher.
Ich bin noch neuer BiaB-Nutzer und will meine alten Sequenzer in Rente schicken, um
mit Biab komfortabler und schneller recorden zu können.

Ich sehe es genauso wie Du. Da Herr Leobacher mitteilt, daß es keine deutsche Version in naher Zukunft genem wird, werde ich mir Real Band eben in englischer Sprache kaufen.

Hallo zusammen,
habe mich übers Wochenende im US-Forum über Realband schlau gemacht und dann heute das Upgrade für BIAB 2008-User für 58 US$ gekauft. Ich denke, die ca. 38 € - beim derzeitigen Dollarkurs - sind gut angelegt.
RB ist m.E. im Moment eher eine Weiteentwicklung von Powertracks denn von BIAB, wobei die Verzahnung mit BIAB erheblich „aufgebohrt“ wurde. BIAB und MIDI-Songs können direkt geladen und umfangreich weiter bearbeitet werden. Dabei kann man dann die Styles und Soloisten von BIAB unmittelbar im Programm nutzen. RB ist also im Prinzip ein Sequencer-Programm kombiniert mit den einzigartigen BIAB-Features. Ich hatte mir schon lange ein Zusammenwachsen von BIAB und Powertracks gewünscht und bin daher sehr froh über das Programm.
Zwar wäre mir ein vollständiges Zusammenwachsen der beiden Programe lieber gewesen, das war aber wohl im ersten Schritt programmiertechnisch nicht machbar. Ich denke aber, dass hier die Produktpflege nach und nach immer mehr Teile der beiden „Ahnen“ BIAB und PT in RB integrieren wird, bis die Symbiose dann perfekt ist.
Etwas schade finde ich, dass bei der Gelegenheit der doch inzwischen etwas angestaubte Look der Bedienoperfläche nicht verbessert und renoviert wurde. Hier sind die Konkurrenten wie CUBASE, Pro Tools, Abelton Live usw. meilenweit weg. RB sieht wie BIAB und PT immer noch nach 80er-Jahre Software aus. Schade …
Trotzdem: PGMUSIC hat einen richtigen und guten Schritt gemacht. RealBand gehört die Zukunft!

Danke für deine Schilderung.
hast du RealBand schon mal ausgetestet ?
Kann ich alle RealTracks und Realdrums aus meinem Superpack verwenden ?
Wäre klasse, wenn du mal ein paar Eindrücke schildern würdest....
Kannst du das Ding empfehlen .
Ist der Workflow ansonsten ähnlich wie mit einer Standard-DAW-Software ( Cubase, Ableton o.ä. )
Der Preis ist ja echt i.o., hast du die neuen 3 Real-Tracks dazu bekommen ?

Hallo,
alle Real-Tracks usw. sind auch in Realband verwendbar, die Sets 10-12 sind bei dem RealBandPAK mit dabei (ich habe das Upgrade von BIAB 2008.5 genommen).
Die Oberfläche ist wirklich schon etwas angestaubt, aber funktional - mir ist das lieber als z.B ein Bonbon-MS-Office, bei dem sich ständig die Menüs verändern.

Hallo Lucius,
es ist so, wie Abrecht schon sagte, RB kommt mit drei neuen Realtracks. Neu sind die Sets 10 (Blues) sowie 11 und 12 (Bluegrass).
Ausprobiert habe ich aber noch nichts, bislang nur Download und Sichern der Dateien.
Mit den drei neuen Sets kommen erneut wieder geschätzt 6 Gigabyte zur BIAB und RB-Installation.
Ich werde mir daher den Rest der Woche erst mal Gedanken machen, wie ich die beiden Programme sowie das möglicherweise künftig überflüssige Powertracks auf meiner Festplatte neu organisere. Ist schon sehr unübersichtlich das ganze mittlerweile.
Danach geht dann ans ausprobieren. Melde mich dann ...

ich hab mir RealBand nun auch zugelegt und muss nach kurzem Test ( ca. 1,5 Stunden) sagen :
"Vorläufige totale Begeisterung !"
Ich hoffe, das bleibt so ....
Bin zwar Recording-Newbie, habe mich aber schon mit einigen DAWs auseinandergesetzt.
Zu RealBand muss ich sagen, dass es einem Gitarristen wie mir natürlich entgegenkommt, Akkord-und Takt-orientiert zu arbeiten.
Das Zusammenspiel mit BiaB lief bei den ersten Tests mehr als zufriedenstellend.
Die Tests für Audio-Recording werde ich in den nächsten Tagen angehen, ich hoffe das das genauso toll funktioniert!
Kann bis jetzt nur sagen : Respekt, PG-Music !!!!
Wäre wirklich toll, die Übersetzungen für Deutschland anzugehen, dann würde diese Software sicherlich noch mehr Anhänger finden

Hallo!
Wenn ich mich mal einschalten darf. Heißt das zusamengefasst, wer in erster Linie BIAB-Anwender ist und bleiben will, braucht trotzdem noch sein BIAB. Real Band ersetzt nicht vollständig BIAB, oder?

Man könnte RealBand auch alleine in Verbindung mit den Raeldrums und den Realtracks benutzen.
Aber richtig komfortabel finde ich es, die Arrangements in BiaB zu erstellen, das ganze dann
in RealBand zu übernehmen und dort weiter zu bearbeiten , zu verfeinern und Audio-Aufnahmen
hinzuzufügen.
Mit den DAW-Funktionen ( Mixer, Effektwege, Panning) sind echt gut umgesetzt ( siehe Powertracks ) und auch für einen
Recording-Anfänger für mich gut zu erfassen.
Ausserdem kann man die hier erstellten Tracks dann auch problemlos als Wave.Files exportieren und
auch in beliebigen anderen Programmen weiterverwenden, wenn man will
Der grosse Vorteil ist für mich aber aber das perfekte Zusammenspiel der beiden Programme.
Die ergänzen sich echt gut.
Allerdings kämpfe ich noch teilweise mit meiner Hardware.
Ich bin zwar noch in der Testphase, aber bis jetzt bin ich ganz zufrieden.
Klasse wäre halt eine deutsche Version.

Habe mir RealBand zugelegt und bin begeistert. RealBand ersetzt Biab nicht. Es ergänzt es nur.
Zwei Fehler sind mir aufgefallen.
1. Wenn ich einen Style von Biab benutze, werden nicht alle Instrumente korrekt ausgewählt. Wenn ich allerdings mit Biab ein Midifile erzeuge werden die Instrumente richtig angewählt.
2. Schwierigkeiten habe ich auch mit DXI bzw. VST-Instrumenten. Sie erzeugen keinen Sound. PowerTracks kann das besser. Ich benutze einen Laptop mit ASO4All-Treibern.(Vista Home Premium)

Es wird aktuell an der Lokalisierung von RealBand gearbeitet.
Genauer Zeitpunkt zur Veröffentlichung steht noch nicht fest.
Es wird aber, wie bei Band-in-a-Box ein Patch geben, das die englische Sprache auf Deutsch umstellt.

Ich fand bis jetzt keine technischen Daten zu real band, also etwa welche samplingfrequenzen, Bitrate etc etc möglich sind.
Weiß jemand, wo man die findet?

Mittlerweile habe ichs selbst gefunden, im Programm unter audio settings in der oberen Button Leiste. 16 und 24 Bit, 22,5 bis 96 samplingrate, alles da. Sehr schön
