After 10 + years of using BIAB in my live show, a change is gone a come. Of course I still love BIAB and all arrangements will still start there, but a performer needs to grow.  The past two weekends I have converted two of my BIAB arrangements to the new format. Need to have 8 arrangements ready to go for a gig in 4 weeks. Here is a screen shot of the Control Panel. Just Hit Play and I am off

The control panel is a merging of BIAB and REAPER giving me everything I have wanted for control of sound. Guitar and mic as well as laptop plug into the VLT with its output directly to the house PA via one stereo cable. No guitar amp or effects pedals needed as processing is on a VST in the DAW with live monitoring. Midi control of VLT harmony comes from a BIAB-Midi Track (simple piano style) from the DAW via USB. Bass, Drum and Soloists are all arranged in BIAB with RT's and dragged and dropped into Reaper. It is one lean - mean setup - Laptop, mic, VLT and guitar. I am really exited, rehersals have been going well today!!

can you explain the process of 'merging of BIAB and REAPER' into the same screen. I'd really love to know how you did it

Reaper v4 (you may need the SWS extensions) allows one to "drag and drop" images onto a track. So those are simply two screenshots (Win7 - Snipping Tool) from BIAB placed and a single track and then expanded to fill the screen. Since the cover the entire duration of the song they stay on the screen during playback.
Otherwise all the BIAB tracks are "dragged and dropped" with the BIAB DAW tool.

ok, thanks. So do you load each song 1 by one or are they all linear & you have to change the jpg each time you change song? or is it all automated?

Do you do any chaining of songs to the point where song #1 is bar 1-120, then 4 beats of click and then song #2 is on 8 different tracks from bar 125 on? That tactic was the "original" juke box feature. As long as software will allow songs that long, why not?
