OP av84fun Journeyman A Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 392	In either/both Leadsheet or Notation windows there can be guitar chord diagrams above the staff lines. But BIAB chooses a particular fingering by default for the selected chord in spite of the fact that the same chord can be played in several different positions on the fretboard. It would be GREAT if clicking on the chord diagram could bring up a "chord dictionary" that would offer alternative diagrams showing several different ways to finger the same chord at different positions on the fretboard. Such capabilites appear in many "chord dictionary" software programs but having it built into BIAB would allow the user to play along and PRINT out the particular chord diagrams they prefer. THANKS! PG sells a standalone software program that does what I suggest and there are tons of them for free on the internet...so the technology is there. BIAB does choose a given fingering that is displayed as a chord diagram...but just ONE of the many alternative fingerings that are possibly at different places on the neck...some MUCH easier to play...often with less distance to travel between a given fingering and the next chord...or a solo break. So alternatives would be very helpful...rather than having to consult a "chord encyclopedia" and write in the different fingering on printed charts by hand. A click on the "default" chord diagram could bring up a dictionary of most/all the different fingerings and let the user choose between them. Am I the ONLY one who hasn't memorized all the various fingerings for every chord??? (-: Jim
