Wow over 12 million. Views.
In the late 80's our big band was leaving the stage at the North Sea JazzFest. When the director from a college band from So. Cal.
Asked to borrow a tenor sax. Theirs had just been destroyed by the airline and this was their first performance of a Europe tour.
The sax was truly a basket case.

My son buys and sells boutique basses. When he ships them, he takes care to package them securely with padding, and he always pays for insurance.
On one of his transactions, the bass arrived with the head snapped off (like the guitar in the video) He thought "No problem.. that's why I bought insurance"
Wrong.
UPS said he must have packaged it incorrectly, and they denied the claim!! (their definition of a properly packaged item is that it must be able to withstand a 4 foot drop at any angle! Since his bass did not withstand it, it was improperly packaged and they weren't liable!!!)
My brother in law worked for UPS briefly, and he said stuff gets thrown around and dropped more than you'd think

Wrong.
Ditto that, I had my own horror story shipping equipment via UPS - insurance don't mean nothing cause they aint't gonna pay.

I ordered a fretless bass from Steve at Wishbass (used to be my avatar). His TOS specified as-is, period, despite the fact that he required insurance in the shipping charges. He ships by Fed Ex Home.
In case you don't know, there is no tracking with FE Home. Despite explicit instructions to call before coming and to come to the back of the house they failed to deliver it for a week. (I'm pretty sure they went to the front door, where my landlord lived, but was rarely home, instead.) Of course, with no tracking I couldn't get in touch with them. During all that time it sat in a van in the hottest weather Atlanta has ever had. They don't unload the home delivery trucks. Sometimes the temperature didn't drop below 100 at night. By the time I got it the neck (which had no truss rod) had warped and the headstock had split.
To his infinite credit, Steve did agree to take it back and repair it. It took a while, and he complained about it, but he did it. Lucky me. I begged him to ship UPS but he refused. But after that he started offering truss rods.
