PG added a nice feature last year in RB for boosting the gain on an individual audio track - the Trim button. Comes in handy for instance when you have an occasional Realdrum track that is not loud enough. It is found on the Tracks screen. On an individual audio track, click on its "fx" button. This brings up the VST window. Over on the right hand side of the VST windw you'll see the Trim button. Works great for what it was intended to do - increases or decreases the track gain non-destructively.
Problem comes when you take this track (say it is track 2) and drag it up or down to a different position so that it becomes, say, track 1 or track 7. When it is moved, the new Trim gain setting does not move with it, but reverts back to the default gain setting. In my mind this setting should accompany the track if it is moved. Other settings in this VST window DO move with the moved track, such as any VST effect plugins assigned to it, but the gain setting does not.
In fact, what happens is the changed gain setting now stays with the track that takes its place. In other words, if you moved the drum track with the increased Trim setting from track 2 to track 7, the changed gain setting now is applied to the NEW track 2 (bass or whatever track slides into the track 2 slot).
Hope I've made this clear. Give it a try and see what you think.

You need to watch all the FX settings if you move or delete a track as these seem to lose position.
