Hi, I'm trying to drop in a Real Track soloist guitar bit into 4 bars of a song. When I play back the section, there are a couple of errant notes that play in the 5th bar. I checked off the selection "Ok to Solo for an extra beat" in the custom Soloist dialogue box, and the notes still play. Any ideas? Is there where I would need to edit the track over in Real Band to remove those notes? Thanks for your help!

You could just mute the track in the 5th bar - then you won't hear the notes.

Hi Mike, When using the Soloist, if you generated a solo before unchecking the "extra beat"option, the solo will have generated using that extra beat. Then, when you regenerate, it will correctly regenerate, but those notes are already there and so will always play. The solution is to completely clear the Soloist track and start again. I just keep on repeating the process until I get what I want.  NOTE: If you have used a Realtrack Soloist and then saved the file, you will need to "UnFreeze" the Soloist track before you can do this. (Right-click on "Soloist".) Pat,
Noel is quite a helpful resource here...we are fortunate he is around...
This program is so awesome - I can't wait until the end of each workday to spend time with it. I've actually reading through the manual too, but find that, for me at least, fiddling around with a song project, and running through some of the drop-down window options is important.
Like a kid in a candy shop over here!
