Thank you all for the input I received lately regarding normalising and so on...
OMG! It worked!! My 'Elvis Tribute Concert' concept was a WINNER!!! I sang my heart out to two sets, 20 songs in all. An encore was DEMANDED!!!! So, I sang two more songs...
This was just meant to be a test of my concept for a gig - solo with backing tracks. I had NO intention of collecting money from it but they DEMANDED to give me payment! Just 8 people in the audience. So, I asked a friend if she would go round with my hat... I scored €100!!!!! Somebody even put a €50 note in the hat!!!!!! And Peter, who owns the bar, has asked me to be 'on call' for any time he wants music in his garden!!!!!!!
Rock on, Babes! THIS is Rock & Roll!
In the beginning, there was Elvis. The rest, as they say, is just...
rock and roll I would particularly like to thank:
Mike Weber ('Mike Sings' here on the forum) for showing me that it could be done
The 'Elvis Live! (well almost)' guys for showing me that it is possible to mix performance with virtual music
Tony Christie for singing with backing tracks at the Danube Island Festival in June
Samsung for the smartphone technology that enabled me to run my backing tracks
IK Multimedia for the iKlip Mini that attached my smartphone to my mic stand
Roland for the Cube Street that was my amp for the gig
