I noted in a recent post that it would be a good idea to resize the main biab window and the song memo window and have them lined up side by side. I can do that. What I don't seem to be able to figure out is how to have that layout return when I reboot biab. Anybody know how to do this well enough to explain it to me?

Earl,
I am away from home and my BIAB computer, I will check this out when I get back next week. I do know that on a gig if I set up the 1st tune like this (dual 50/50 screen)it does not change for the entire gig.
I'lll check it out later and report back.

But I've noticed that it does not do this when you re-open BIAB. It reverts back to the full screen.

Earl, I believe that this side by side function is a Win 7 "aero snap" function and not a BIAB function. As such, I don't believe that you can have it default just to that for BIAB. If you are not using Win 7, here is a link that can do the "splits" for you http://www.winsplit-revolution.com/

The problem seems to be that BIAB always opens as a maximized window. When the program desktop icon is a shortcut, you can right click on it and under properties, you can select how the window will open, "normal", "minimized", or "maximized". This has no effect on BIAB (2011). I would guess it's been programmed to open that way and not a bug.
A program like Notepad, which can open in a normal window, will "remember" it's size and location when it's closed and open the same way. BIAB could also do that if it could be opened as a "normal" window.
Might be something for the wish list.

I am using windows 7 and while, after a shut down the BIAB window re-opens to a full screen but all it takes is one simple operation to get it back to 50/50 for the new session.
Hold down the Windows Icon Key (next to "alt key" on my computer) and hit the "right" arrow key . . . bam you are back to a 50/50 screen.
