I create a chord chart in RB, pick a style and generate a half dozen or so BB realtracks. Make some edits on various tracks. Save the song, close RB. Next day I start RB, open the song, and inexplicably a couple of the realtracks which were stereo tracks to begin with are suddenly missing the right side of the stereo track. If you solo the track all you hear is the left side, and looking at the tracks view you can visually see that the right side of the track has no waveform.
So I regenerated the errant stereo tracks, converted all the BB realtracks to "regular" realtracks, re-did the edits, saved, and closed RB. Next day opened RB and the song, and one of the stereo realtracks is again missing the right side. I have no clue as to why this is happening. Anyone else have an idea?

Correction on the above; in reviewing the process further, the two realtracks in question were mono tracks to begin with (1259 bass and 1268 guitar). They were mono audio tracks when saved and closed. When first opened up again the next day the tracks somehow became stereo tracks, with the mono wave only showing up on the left side of the stereo track. Upon opening the second day, only one of the tracks (1268 guitar) became stereo with the wave on left side only. The other mono track (1259 bass) opened up correctly as a mono audio track. Puzzling.

Send a message to support@pgmusic.com with a reference to this thread. I've had the same thing happen to me, so I know what you are talking about. It's pretty intermittent, but it does happen.

Curious; have you guys moved tracks around? Or maybe putting a mono track on what used to be a stereo track? If it's intermittent it sometimes means a certain event had to precede it.

To Rharv's question, yes I did move some tracks around, so that may be a clue as to what is happening. John I believe I recall now you saying you had this problem at some point. Rob, thanks for indicating that you've duplicated the problem and that it will be looked at.

It happened on one of my vocal tracks, it changed from mono to one-sided stereo

For me, I probably should have reported earlier, but it was intermittent and I was in the middle of the project, so just worked around it.
Glad that PGMusic is able to reproduce it, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

One current work-around idea .. If it was mono first, and just endeed up on left side of stereo track, use 'Track - Split stereo track to two mono tracks' Track dropdown menu Then you'll have one mono track (just like original) and an empty second mono track (which you delete) If all looks good, Save As.

Good tip Rharv, I was looking for some kind of work-around like that and didn't find, but obviously didn't look hard enough. I'll give that a try next time it happens. Thanks.

Rob, has a fix for this problem been found? I'm having this same problem where a mono audio track changes to a stereo track with one side blank. Realband 2012.5 (1) is the version I'm using. thanks much, Del

Happened to me as well, Rharv's workaround seems to be the best option to me ....

Ok, just wondering if there was a patch for it. I've had it happen a few times now on two different songs. I tried the workaround and deleted the old tracks completely so perhaps this will be alright now. thank you, Del

Just started happening to me too. Further problem that after cutting and pasting a mono track and reloading the song the track is stereo and although there is a waveform after the cut there is no sound. Very frustrating. Any news of a fix?
