It would really help to generate chords according to the users skill level. This would allow beginners and advanced musicians to play alone with BIAB at their skill level. This would also provide a teaching aid in learning chords structures and progressions. It is worthy to note that some of the classicial music arrangements use very simple progressions. I.E. i,iv,v.
On second thought if in a learning mode BIAB would show the chord progression used this woud be a fantastic learning aid in both formal and informal learing settings.
Skill levels: Beginner,Intermediate,Advanced

I have posted a wish list item to ask that we be able to attache a chord library (Something I used to do in TabEdit) so that we could assign specific chord diag. to a song. I used this when I was learning new chord forms. I could force a song to use the new chord forms rather than standard forms. This was very nice for generating learning material, it is a variation on your request for Beginner,Intermediate,Advanced. It would allow that you could choose from specific chord forms.

I want to second that. Why is it so hard to get BIAB to generate chords in the forms I IV V I and
I V I ? Rediculous. As a musician, I want BIAB to do grunt work like that. When I work in idioms that use sophisticated chord progressions, I'd actually rather do that myself. Why is there no simple straightforward way to get BIAB to do this scut work???

When I type a C chord and also click "edit-jazz down chords", that's exactly what plays, a C chord with no extra notes. If your BIAB doesn't do that then something must be wrong with the program. If you're asking BIAB to do everything for you, then that's something else. At a minimum, you should be able to type in what chords you want. Later, Ray

i like the idea,i have always played with the most easiest chords you can get as most tunes can be played with the 3 chords so i would like a chord set that is as easy as this great idea
