Here's a song video I put together around Robert Johnsons "Cross Road Blues" and it's my first U-tube video. I wasn't sure where to post it so I put it here? Anyway hello to old friends and fellow travellers and I hope this merits a few minutes of your time and that you find it enjoyable. This vid should have a little Halloween vibe - and perhaps my face does too. javascript:void(0) http://youtu.be/1LUtcXEHGag

All your hard work on learning this style of original blues stylings has really paid off for you. Very cool stuff. The videos are a great idea.

Simply awesome, Pete! My only negative comment is: I thought the video detracted from, rather than enhanced the music. The resolution on the buffalo scene was so difficult to make out that I'm only guessing that they were bison. Step one may be to get better filler video or even still shots. For your first effort it very good. More please. Your slide guitar interpretation of black Blues is wonderful, my friend.
What video editor are you using? When the room darkens, was that intentional? You may want to re-shoot it. The audio was quite clear so concentrate more on the video, especially the lighting. maybe shoot it outdoors then dub in the audio.

Hi, And thanks Kevin, good to hear from you and I see your name around quite a bit , so things must be going well I presume. This was a shirttails kind of project, which fits my budget. So my payoff from the music thing is mostly non-negotiable. I'm happy to have it and couldn't imagine otherwise. Best wishes to you and yours as we start into the holiday season.

Pete,
Really liked it. It reminds me of my late father-in-law playing Jimmy Rogers.

Thanks Bob and glad to hear from you again. I'm still more country than most of the blues players I know who trend more to jazzy and rock styles locally. Best regards to you and yours!

Thanks Don, I have to say I was a little disappointed when I saw how the video came out on U-tube because the resolution was so low. the bison were little sharecropper homes along a road that led to a crossroad and the end shot was gravesite but you couldn't make that out either. The black out was intentional - I was playing around with different effects in i-movie which came with my computer back in 2000 when it was new. This was the first time I've used it, so I learned a lot. Great to hear from you again.

A BIG +1
Very authentic sounding acoustic blues.
Ps - my first post must have disappeared into forum purgatory!
OK, a random thought; Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Pete, if you have Pandora, check out "Acoustic Blues" station. Blind Blake doing Bulldog Blues as I type. Such wonderful old-timey blooze.
I surmise that you're on a Mac. I can't help you there.
I would like to hear more of your stuff. Are you on any of the music sharing sites?
Snip: Okay, I found your music site, listening now. Your Blitz Weinhart sign brought back fond memories. My late brother, Gordy, lived in Astoria and we jammed all one weekend and both contracted the Blitz Weinhart Flu. LOL.
I'm sincerely enjoying what I'm hearing, amigo. Thanks.

As always Pete you do a wonderful job with this genre and of course the stylings and performance that take it over the top.
Another good listen.

Hi Mario, I see and hear you're getting deeper and deeper into your music production. And sounding great. So happy to hear from you. So I guess everything is working out pretty well for you. I'm enjoying my 'occasional' performance schedule, and the closer I get to the mountain the bigger it looks. Oh, well! Wishing you all the best!

Hello Mr. Don S.
And thanks , If I could yodel I'd be doing the Lovesick Blues or the Muleskinner Blues. Of course every time I mention Jimmy Rogers everyone thinks I'm talking 'bout Muddy Waters guitar player.
Wishing you the Best!
