Hi All,

That got your attention eh?

Well I just wondered if Peter had some revelations to offer us, give some hints as to what we might expect for the upcoming new year.

I'm not getting on the wishlist ride .... There are lots of things to wish for but I thought I'd ask what YOU expect in the next roll out.

Mal.

How about a nicer interface, and also how about the ability to have a live monitoring input. So you can plug straight into the computer and hear your guitar or whatever you are plugging in live.

Those are my two biggest complaints.

Also, I think there were some issues with time signatures.

I know I cannot get Dave Brubecks Take Five to work, at all

I expect more realtracks and more midi super tracks as the top thing.

It would greatly surprise me if the interface was overhauled -- but I do like being surprised. I do the think the interface (and the name) is super important to get new users. To more long term users (or at least to me), it really isn't a big deal.

Of course if they put everything everyone wants into 2013, then it would be the end of all future upgrades. What would they have for 2013.5, 2014, etc. etc.

Have you ever tried Real Band for 5/4 time? I did a song in 7/4 with Rharv and tried many different styles that were 4/4 and it changed them all with no problems. Here is a link to the song. http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=378733&an=0&page=1#Post378733

Tommy, are you saying that if I have a BiaB song in 4/4 set RB up for 5/4, 7/4 etc that RB will convert it to that time signature? If so will it print it in the new time signature? If I import it to another DAW will it be in the new time signature in that DAW? Does it work for both midi and RT?

I have never heard of this before and it would be very beneficial to me.

I also expect more realtracks (if possible in styles other than the traditional jazz / country / pop-rock ones: afro-cuban, reggae, disco, funk, soul, rumba, tango, electronic...) and an interface redesign.

I think we should have a kindergarden band realtracks. I used to play the sticks with aplomb. And am ready to improvise if this sounds like a good idea. I knew a cuban with an afro once too. And my doctor talked to me about my rumba and tango.

At my age if the interface gets redesigned I should get a discount. I can still find the controls in band in a box before my teeth, glasses, wallet, keys and .. and and... I forget.

If they change it I'll be fully dressed before I get any music going. Dang computers.

We don't need no stinking redesign...who read the sign?

Unbelievable!! Every 6 months its the same old discussion. And every 6 months there is NO answer from PG. Hey gang, I can tell you with great certainty that 2013 will come out b4 Jan 1 2013! I can also tell you that there will be a Christmas special. And I can tell you that despite the fact that I still haven't used 1 tenth of 2012.5 I will end up springing for the update again. AND I will be happy with the upgrade for another 6 months! My one wish is a time stretcher that stretches the time available for playing with the program!!

I worked for a major corporation that had new systems
with coordinated software releases to operate them.

The pressure and time in our case was internal, but
still there, manufacturing using the systems made the $$.

A company that depends on $$$$ to keep products alive
and employees satisfied and happy, I cannot even imagine
the pressures and time it takes.

I have learned so much from Forum folks and PG sources,
but one just barely scratches what can be accomplished
with these products.

BUT, I will plunk down a few more $$ for the new goodies.

This time have the $$$ put aside..

My income isn't fixed, it's shrinking. Just the cost of dog food is HUGE. No wait, she's no puppy now, unless you ask here and she jumps up and eats your hat. Crazy Mutt. Ate my homework too. I'm gonna get a lead guitar so she can't pick it up and run with it.

I think they should try aluminum guitars. The lead ones are too heavy. Crazy heavy metal Lead guitars sound good though. With the right meds and Pink Floyd you can...(never mind I did not just say that...).

Canadians, going to Rock Concerts OR Washington State for a smoke eh? I talked to a guy said he got high at a recent concert but never smoked, it was just so heavy he had no choice. Crazy.

I live a pretty austere life. With the second child about to start college next year, I expect it will become even more so. I may golf 4-5 times over the summer, but don't go to Atlantic City and Gamble, didn't buy a mid-life crisis Harley, and drive a used Hybrid. BIAB upgrades are about my sole personal indulgence, and I never feel guilty about them.

I hope no one is holding their breath for a response from PG!

I for one will also upgrade as that is my "to myself from myself" Christmas present.

I hope they do not delay it for a GUI makeover that will really NOT make any difference to me.
It does EVERYTHING I want it do to and more ......

(Sorry, i have to go now and hang up my stocking now .....)
