I am sure this has been debated before.
Biab free? Limited to maybe one RT for each style?
I would love to see this program become more popular and PG have more money for developemt?

A free Biab player (as NoteWorthy does it) would be a good way to start with PgMusic products.

Um, no. They have PLENTY of excellent demos and examples. Plus, there is a very good user base as well. Demo version is a great way to get your product pirated. Or, people just settling for the crappy demo style.
For example, look at the "Real Book" iPad app. It has really really really crappy midi playback, but every musician who has it thinks it's like the second coming of the wheel. They are awed by that. But then if they hear what I have done with Band in a Box......it's game over.
I'd not even consider a "demo" or limited version. Hell, PGMusic has been around for a LONG time. I think my boxed up Atari ST (first computer) still has the 3.5 floppies that Band in a Box came on......

What I want is STRIPPED down BIAB for my Nexus7 Android so that when a tune pops into my head I can lay down a BASIC BT for it there and then. It doesnt have to be all the styles (impossible really) nor have RB and RT. There might even be the facility to add the tune by poking at a "keyboard" on screen with my little silicone stylus.
I can do all the RT , RB et all when I get back home.
This September when we were on holiday on Longboat Key, Florida (yeah, yeah - namedropper !)I had a great tune running in my head. The only thing I could do was to "La-La" the darned thing into a friends mobile phone which has a recording device in it. How much better would it have been to sit on that stunning white sand beach and poke at my BiaB Android.

Fair point about the pirating, but if this could be overcome, then I think a limited freebie would attract new users and generate more PG development as a consequence.
The samples are ok but they don't give the vew user an understanding of the true power of BIAB.
I have bought a lot of products in my time where the demo is far better that the reality of the product, BIAB is not like this, and people should know
