Hi
acer Aspire 7730zg COMPUTER Running windows 7 2013 BIAB with the latest updates
when i use realtracks since the last update i am getting very bad distortion when i use ASIO,if i turn to
MME its ok the distortion goes any one else got this problem
I always play the right notes but not always in the right order

With whatever soundcard you have, the ASIO driver for it should allow you to adjust the buffer settings. Play with that setting to see if it solves the problem.
Is this a laptop?

Hi Matt
spent allday sunday trying to sort my computer out,did not matter what setting i had asio on it did not ma\ke any difference after seven blue screens chnging the audio-midi unit from tascam122 to a presonus audiobox usb unit which did not work atall (even thou its a new unit) i only had one more chance and that was to return to factory settings i used the first one in the list and t5hat seems to have done the trick i had put the tascam 122 unit back on befoe i did the factory setting and it seems ok but i did not havre much time to mess about with it as it was then monday,please exsuse poor typing as i can not use any editing i keep looseing the curser and if im not careful i loose the lot so thats another problem i need to sort out and these days i don`t have much of a clue how to do even these simple things and the other thing is i cant move the curser to a new spot if you notice on the secind line make has a slash mark in it and i can`t get to it to remove it thanks for your intrest regards Dave(jazzband)

Acer Aspire 7730zg laptop computer running windows7 os BIAB2013 with all the latest updates,TascamUS-122L USB.2 Audio /midi interface+KetronSD2 Sound modual
i still cant get ASIO to work,i have 6 settings on latency scale lowest noise really bad, low-noise still fairly bad,normal -noisestill their, high -very little noise highest,-no noise atall when i use MME-no noise any ideas how to get it to work properly as i said only since i used the last update thanks for any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome

Dave, A couple of years ago I had problems with one of the updates. What I did was to download the previous update and install that one. That fixed my problems. I then waited until a later update became available. With the above in mind, I suggest you download build #363 and (re)install it. This will effectively remove #365 (I'm assuming that that's your your build because you said your were fully up to date). ... link to updatesIt's worth a shot. If doing this fixes the problem then it's something that you can let PG Music support know about and they can investigate it. Regards, Noel

thanks Noel for your help this did not do the trick for two plays of a tune was all i got
i thenhad the music slow down to almost stop and then when the music returned so did the noise

If you go no noise with MME and noise with ASIO I would think that the problem is with your ASIO drivers. Are they the latest drivers? If not update them. If they are find an older driver, uninstall the latest and load the older drivers. Does that work?
Some after thoughts, have you checked on the Tascam forums to see if others are having the same problem?
Another-does BiaB work well with ASIO? I think I remember others have problems with ASIO and BiaB. I don’t know personally as I use MME but I will gladly check ASIO if you would like me too.
