Hi Folks, I sprung for the 2013 version of BIAB and it looks like I have not installed SampleTank correctly. I keep getting the message that is the subject of this post. I used the default folder when installing. It does seem I can get a patch installed correctly though. I am really enjoying the HI Q sounds provided but how do I get rid of this annoying message? The error msg also states...."please quit the application and run it again by right-clicking on the application icon and selecting 'run as administrator' option. I'm not running this application as a STAND ALONE..I'm running SampleTank within BIAB...I'm at a loss...Help Please.

Hi Bert, Have you had a look through the following thread by John Ford, yet? ... installation of SampleTankJohn's a very thorough guy so I imagine that the solution is contained within. All the best, Noel

Thanks for your Reply Noel....and yes, I have read it a couple of time really. I had already been a registered user of SampleTank so I didn't need any help with Authorization. I will look at it again but I THINK I read from PG himself as I was installing ST 2.5 that it should go in PROGRAM FILES and not PROGRAM FILES 86. I just might try re-installing in PROGRAM FILES. I will take a look at jford and see where he suggests to install it. Thanks again for your reply. I have issues with OMNISYNTH also...where is that supposed to be installed? I have installed it in PROGRAM FILES 86 ...IK MULTIMEDIA.......SAMPLETANK 2.5. Any help is always welcomed and I'd be grateful for it.

Hi Noel,this from Andrew at PG Music "Yes that is normal. There are a couple of ways you can use SampleTank. By far the EASIEST way is to just right-click on a Band-in-a-Box MIDI track (i.e. like you would normally do to select a RealTrack) and select a Hi-Q instrument. The Hi-Q instruments play through SampleTank.
In fact you don't really need to visit the SampleTank interface at all - Band-in-a-Box configures it automatically. The only thing that you DO need to do is make sure that "Use VST/DXi synth" is checked in the MIDI Driver Setup dialog. (Opt. | MIDI/Audio Driver Setup)."
I can access the sampletank GUI without seeing that annoying message by using the MIDI/audio drivers setup. But if using the plugins or synth buttons I get the Priveleges message. I'm a happy camper now. Thanks again.
