I have not updted BIAB since 2008 and now I'm trying to figure out what Realband really is. I have not found a proper "Realband for dummies" video.

I have used BIAB for songwriting and I used to do the tracks with BIAB and record vocals with PowerTracks. I think that now on I will use Realband for that. Or just use BIAB, I am not sure about this. I am very confused.

I tried record vocals to a song that I have umade with BIAB using RealTracks only. I have a brand new Roland QuadCapture audio interface and I have plugged my Shure mic to it. The levels of Roland are as high as I can put them. And the audio meters of RB look good. They go almost to the red zone. But when I listen the finished recording it is very quiet. Should I boost the audio track somehow or change the levels of the tracks that have music? Or what should I do?

Make sure the slider for the track with vocals is all the way up

Option 1 - Insert compressor (like PGDynamics) on the vocal track to add power
Option 2 - reduce volume of other tracks

Does waveform look like it is loud enough or is it very small compared to others in the song?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Thanks.
I guess that you mean the mixer slider. I moved it up and it helped a little.
PgDynamics helped with "Output gain". I also found out how to add reverb to the vocals.

Waveform seems to be quite ok.

More questions:
1. The vocals are only on the left channel. But the explanation to that is probably that there are 2 input on the Roland and the cable is on the left plug. Or am I doing something wrong here? Should the vocals already be on both channels at this point?
2. I tried to do the same procedure that I used to do with PowerTracks. I open this:
File/Wave files/Merge audio and VSTi/DXi tracks to compressed file
then there opens a small window and I give the name for the file and click "save" Then there is another small window and after that I get the error "Driver cannot do the conversion".

I found advice for Q2. In Win7 compressed files will not work. I should install some extra software like K-Lite Codec. I hate install anything extra. This used to work in Win XP.

I did a WAV-file of my vocals recording but the vocals can only be heard on the left channel.

Thanks. I found that and it worked fine. I have also managed to handle the recording level.

This is not a Realband issue but where could I find some advice how the vocal track should be adjusted with EQ, compressor, reverb etc?

Or try posting a sample for others to comment on.
Without hearing it how can anyone make suggestions?

Use compression before the Reverb
Usually cutting the low end helps clean up vocals and bring them forward. Depending on the vocal everything from 300Hz on down can often be reduced.
Usually start with EQ-Compression-Reverb here, in that order.
Often use the AUX slots for the reverb so more than one vocal track can share it.
