Anyone use ChordBot Pro or EasyBand Studio on an Android tablet? Your thoughts?

Robb Chordbot is excellent and now with version 2 you can mix and match instrumental parts to make new styles. Once you've got a basic sequence worked out you can export the midi file and voice it on your PC - you'd be amazed how good some styles are. Easyband I got just before Christmas and I haven't really had a chance to put it through it's paces. I think Chordbot is the better program however and more flexible. Chordbot makes it a breeze to do 11/8 or 5/8 odd time backings. Kevin

Kevin - just curious - does ChordBot give PG's BB/RB/RT a run for it's money either overall or in any particular areas ?

Band In A Box is definitely the better program overall - when only comparing the midi backing functionality. Chordbot does not do Realtracks or anything like them. Realband is a sequencer and a totally different beast. Chordbot has some features that BIAB doesn't. Firstly - it generates backings on the Android device or iPhone directly whilst BIAB apps need a connection to the PC to function. If BIAB made midi generation intrinsic to the Android and iPhone apps they would have a best seller. Secondly - odd time signatures are easy to accomplish as part of the way chords are entered into Chordbot. An update is coming to allow 1/8 note resolution here. Thirdly - chord voicings and inversions can be chosen to achieve exactly what you want. Chordbot does not replace BIAB - it compliments it. It is always nice to have many tools to achieve a goal. Yes, that is what I was hoping for with the BIAB remote. I don't always have an Internet connection.
Do either of the programs support lyrics?
I'll likely give ChordBot a try. Maybe Easyband down the road.

Robb I haven't seen any lyric support at this stage, but I am using a program called OnSong for iPad which allows a music file to be referenced from a Chord and Lyric sheet. BTW you can try the free version of Chordbot for a while before springing cash for the Pro version. Pro gives you more style and export options. Kevin

I ended up getting ChordBot last night, based on this post. Looks very promising. (And, yeah, OnSong is a great app.)
