I own New Orleans Pianist, Blues and Latin, all of which choke on my WinXP laptop with the error message, "PG Music Font (PGMUS.TTF) is not installed. Make sure PGMUS.TTF is in your Windows or (Win95) System directory. at: 004B6C88" when opening the notation window. And when you close the window I get an "Access Violation" writing to addrexx 0x24... The fonts are in the correct location and I've tried the 64bit font update for BIAB. Does anyone have any other ideas/suggestions? All three applications worked properly on an older (now-dead) winxp based system.

I have had to do something like this when trying to run an older Pg music program like the Jazz guitarist to a vista or windows7 machine . I copied the font from the old computer to a floppy or cd. Make sure you get the right font.
I think the newer pg fonts have a slightly different name. You want the old name.
I think in one case I had to "install" the font not just copy it. Try fonts in the control panel and see if you can install from there.

You will need the following...
pgjazz__
pgmus
pgtext
pgtextj_
pgtextje
And the PGMusic x64 font_update program. I manually copied the fonts into Win7 x64 and they worked, but only after running the font update program. For me running the font program alone did not do it, and loading the fonts alone did not do it.
Also, a lot of the old Pianist programs do not run in x64, and it looks like you have to by the new versions if you want them. Some are discontinued (New Age Pianist) and are beyond hope as far as I know.
I am not allowed to post the fonts, but they should be easy to find...
