I've noticed that since MakeMusic took over Garritan, the yearly holiday sale has disappeared. I've been getting regular emails urging me to buy their products, but no sale price in sight. The Garritan "Ultimate Collection" isn't really a bargain for anyone who's already got a couple of their libraries. While I'm a big fan of GPO, I found the JABB to be pretty disappointing, and have been standoffish about IO. I've already got Miroslav, which as a number of "orchestral elements". This morning I got an email warning that there are "Two days left to buy Garritan Instant Orchestra at 2012 prices". So if you've been on the fence about IO, I guess now's the time to buy since MakeMusic's policy seems to be "more money for the same old product".

Yeah, I saw that, too. Glad I already had IO, and that I bought it in 2012 at less than the current 2012 price.

I think you can safely pass on any garritan libs & maybe save a bit more & buy something better.

IO is pretty nice. The new pricing policy, not so much. If Garritan ever produces the Choir module they keep threatening, that's one thing... but I've got GPO and GIO, and I think that's gonna be it.

Yea I just went through this - already had GPO and JABB for last few years but when, if you remember I was poking around for suggestions on more Orch "stuff," almost went with EWSOL. It sounded like a GREAT lib but couldn't swallow the iLok dongle thing.
So I got Miroslav Philharmonik, by way of IK Total Studio 3 bundle, I also picked up Garritan IO and World and was able ( to get the Classic Organ Lib for free - So now I have all Garritan's EXCEPT marching band (I don’t really see me getting that one)
And like others I've been getting almost weekly emails about Garritan "sales" (same $149??) and buy before 2013 price goes up.
PS need to kick myself in butt: two weeks ago MP inside TS 3 for $299 (essentially MP for 4149 and all the rest of IK PC libs for another $149) was a great price but TODAY MP is on sale by itself for $60 at eSoundz! Just like me and my stocks buy HIGH and sale low
