I believe there was a thread a few months ago concerning a interface to record your guitar into BIAB. I remember seeing a link to a small device, that I thought cost around $30. Does anyone else recall this.

As always thanks everyone for their help.

Another way to go would be to find a new or used USB interface that accepts both guitar and mic inputs. Eventually, you may want to record with a mic, and at that point, this will become a doorstop.

Regards,

Bob

The behringer is awful in that the drivers are always messing up and it's noisy. It was given to me.
I have used the Stealth Plug for about 3 years now & love it. I use it to play bass live. The preamp for my bass rig is a lappy running Ampeg SVX modeling software.

well there ya go. Personal testimony from a guy in the trenches who is actually using and loving it is the absolute best ad any product could hope for.

Likewise 90db is another guy playing music in the real world, and his idea of getting an interface that allows more connectivity (such as mics) also has merit. It boils down to whether you are more interested in using your device for recording or performing live

At the minimum do something like this. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/lexicon-alpha-usb-desktop-recording-studio

You find the interface is the heart and soul of the system get as much as you can so you don't have to do it again in 6 months.

a friend at work was struggling to get a handle on the home recording learning curve. He kept getting bogged down in the problems you run into while trying to record audio through the mic input that come with the sound cards on most PCs.

I talked him into buying a dedicated audio/MIDI interface and all his problems went away.

His last comment was "Man I wish I had bit the bullet and done this a year ago"

This looks like a good piece.I wasn't exactly sure what the OP was after. I use the Stealth strictly for live play out in the field.I use a Delta 1010 in the studio with a HW mixer in front of it.
