I am new to using band in a box so maybe I am missing something, but I followed the instructions correctly regarding moving band in a box tracks to a Logic Pro project. The issue is that when I move a BIAB instruments "bullet/target" to the drop box in the upper left corner of BIAB screen, and then I place my cursor over the "DROP" box, left click and hold and get a green circle with a white plus in the center and a message that says it is ready to drag and drop into my DAW, then move my cursor which has with it a rectangle box that looks like it contains data, either audio or midi, from the "DROP" box to the appropriate location in the track, either an instrument (midi) track or audio track in logic pro 9, and I place the so-called BIAB data box at the location where I wish to insert the BIAB data, and I release the mouse button, I get an error message that says that there is NO track information or content. What is up with this? I would appreciate some help on this as this is one of the main reasons I purchased BIAB so that I could use it like I do Apple Loops in logic to create backing tracks for song demos.

Dropping files is a 2 stage process.
1. Drag and Drop the file from the Instrument Radio Button (e.g. piano) to the "Drop" button at the top left.
2. Drag and Drop the file from the Drop button (which is now green) to your DAW.
From what you are describing, step #2 isn't working. Normally there is no problem with this, but one way to troubleshoot it would be to drag the file from the Drop station (green box) to Finder, and see if that works. From there you can drop it to Logic.
BTW. at the end of step #1, there will be a file already in /Applications/Band-in-a-Box/DragDrop (you normally don't need to deal with that file directly.

I use this function all the time and it works well here. The first thing I would check is the DAW plug-in preferences. Make sure the "allow drag and drop" checkbox didn't get unchecked somehow. Then I would try again, and after the dropbox turns green try dragging right to the desktop rather than a Logic window. Doing this should put a file on the desktop that you can double-click and make sure it's a valid audio or MIDI file. This will tell you if the problem is with Logic, or if the files you are generating from BIAB have a problem. Hopefully this helps. Edit: Wow I'm a slow typist !
