Morning all
My nephew & I attempted jamming together using Skype. We had video & audio working fine. I could play or he could play but, when we both played we lost our audio until we stopped playing. At the moment it seems to be a one at a time situation. Both our computers are powerful fairly new PC's. Is this a fixable problem, or is it the nature of the beast?.....Hank

From my experiences with skype I don't think they are ready for real time music participation yet.

cubase & reaper can do it depending on your bandwidth, audio at least

reaper has a free vst plugin that can do it (still depending on your bandwidth. If not wormhole is vst plugin too (its no longer in production, but it works)

IIRC, Skype introduces an intentional delay to eliminate looping feedback which makes live jamming virtually impossible.

Not unique to Skype, cellular phones do it too, and for the same reason.
