Hi - new BIAB user here... quick question, I'm used to seeing music in music staff format, is there a way to
a) type in chord progressions on some compact-style music staff, instead of the default blank-workspace format?
b) how to view what's being played in realtracks, in music staff note format?
c) any way to "zoom out" and in, for the staff view, so I can customize exactly how it looks? for example I have multiple monitors, many large ones, it would be nice to be able to customize/dock/undock music note staff view and scale in/out zoom on it as needed

Hello and welcome.
A) I don't know how to do that, except for the default chordsheet screen, which I consider to be pretty condensed. The jazz chords I do would not fit in a smaller space...
B) Yes, many of the RealTracks have notation. If the green instrument name has an underline, you should be able to see notation.
C) I have no experience with multiple monitors so I haven't tried any experiments. Perhaps others here have?

Hi Matt, thanks -- by a) I mean, can I pull up something that looks like a blank page of sheet music and type chords above staffs (vs just blank-sheet type default biab chord entry). Good to know re underline on realtracks, thanks

Hi Ken,
It's possible to go into Notation Mode or Lead Sheet Mode, right-click the mouse above the stave, and then select "Edit Current Chord" from the pop-up menu (<CTRL + F2> is the keyboard shortcut). Using this approach, one is able to enter chords directly above a stave. In my opinion, though, it's far quicker to use the default chord sheet as the primary chord-entry method.

Hi Ken, I know the feeling. Prior to starting, I strongly encourage you to go to the below link ... http://www.pgmusic.com/videos.bbwin.htm ... scroll down the page to the section called "Video Archives" and have a look for a file called Band In A Box Quickstart Tutorial. It's well worth watching. Setting up a song and entering chords starts around 2 minutes into the video. Enjoy! Noel
