As I know little about midi settings, I just wonder why I always have this error message about midi feedback ? I use midiyoke, and assign midiyoke as my midi in and out. But I'm not sure what to use, midiyoke 1 as in and 2 as out, or what. I tried it both, but still have this message....
Another midi issue is that when I open a karaoke file, it is all instrument in one track, so that i cannot change the VST for the different tracks ... What do I do in order to have different VST instrument in different tracks, in my karaoke files? And most, so it always open any kind of karaoke track with this setting ?
In the other way, when open a midi file, even all notes are in one track, i do can change instrument in different tracks.... I'm very confused about this, coz, when I open a midi file, all the notes are on melody track, but when i assign a VST instrument to ex guitar track, my real guitar will respond, but seems totally out of tune with the songs sometimes, and I have no way to see in the notes or piano roll what happens....
I appreciate any help to sort out those issues.....
Same time i will apologize for my lack of ability to explain my problem in good English, coz, I'm a Norwegian.....living in the Philippines......

I've notice there is some MIDI crosstalk right when I start a song. A little feedback leaks through. I haven't dug into the cause.
I don't use MIDI Yoke, I use LoopBe30 and it has an option to "Enable Shortcut Detection". I disable this. The virtual midi channels then continue to work even if a little MIDI feedback happens. I would think Midi Yoke has a similar feature.
For reading midi files, you can open the MIDI file, and it all the MIDI channels go to the Melody track.
From there you can Edit -> "Copy/Move Tracks" to separate out the MIDI channels to separate instruments.
For example, if the Piano is on Midi track 2. Pick the "Copy/Move Tracks" Source is Melody, clear all except "2", and destination is Piano track.
Repeat this for the other MIDI channels.
Or - I typically just use File -> "Import Chords from MIDI File" Ctrl-Alt-I
There is many options to chose here, but it will fill out the chords and attempt to separate the Midi channels out to instrument tracks for you. It usually works great for me. Try switching some of the options.
After you're done with either one of these you will probably need to go back and adjust some of the chords that BIAB interpreted from the MIDI.

You definitely can't use the same MIDIYoke port for both input and output. If you do, that's why you get a feedback loop error message. I would look at all the applications you use it with (obviously, if you are using a virtual MIDI cable, then there must be at least two applications) and make sure that "out is set to in" and vice versa. In other words, if you use port 1 for BIAB output, then use port 1 for the input where you are receiving the data. If you use port 2 for BIAB input, then use port 2 for output from the device sending the data.
That's the first place I would look, and make sure you set everything correctly.
I personally use LoopBE (and purchased it, because the registered version gives you more than one port. LoopBE works with both 32-bit and 64-bit applications, whereas MIDIYoke is 32-bit only. with LoopBE, for example, you can open BIAB and a 64-bit stand-alone Virtual Instrument and send the MIDI data from BIAB to that virtual instrument.
