Greetings!
Does anyone know a way to generate a solo for only the first 8 bars (intro) of a tune?

Hi PG, Click the Soloist button. Inside the dialog box you will be able to choose how you want to interact with the soloist. Within the "Select Soloist" window, look for a button named, "Custom..." There, you can tell it what measure you want it to begin and how long you want it to run for.

Too funny - now I can't get it to stop after the first eight bars...

Bar settings? Mute solo track? Seems to work.

I have been using the mute option until I saw this thread. I tried it on a 4 bar intro and it worked fine for me. It's actually a nice easy way. Not sure why it wouldn't play ball for you.
I'm using 2013 latest build on a windows 8 pc, if that helps any.

LOL...having re-read my comment...neither was I.
I meant that 'the soloist, set number of bars' thingy was what I had changed to and that worked fine for me over a 4 bar intro.
(The joy of badly thought through language is wonderful because it isn't what we said or typed that matters, it's what the other person heard or read......)
