Its been awhile always pushing the limits. Is there a way to go back and use midi drums on 1 song only. I have a song I would like to edit the drums if possible? its a ballad which only hits the snare on 4 instead of 2 and 4. see if anyone has any idea's

Hi jt3,
If you go the the Real Drums picker (the icon is a bass drum with a squizzly line) you will see the option "For this song only, force MIDI drums".

thanks Keith this is what I need for this song. I can edit the midi drums. the only thing you must freeze the track before playing it back other wise it goes to default part. You can still edited more just leave it frozen. I've done this to bass parts works great. Thanks again I'll let you know how it comes out John

John, just remember to save your edited sections regularly. I've been caught by pressing play before freezing, and having to start all over again.

Hello everyone.
I would like, to edit/insert a drum line in a style song, me too.
I have bought an "ION" electric usb drum kit; that is composed by
a "control box" connected to the pads and to the pedals with 3.5mm cables ,and that connects to the PC by a usb cable (there is also a midi-out).
When I plug the system into the computer, Windows recognize it as a plug and play usb drum. The bundled software, named "Virtual Drum X" works quite fine, but I would like to play the drums through Biab. What is the procedure to connect my drum kit to Biab and to assign to each pad and pedal a drum sound with the aim to edit a drum line? thanks in advance for any advice you want to give me.

Hi Gerico and welcome to the forum. I tried looking up Virtual Drum X and didn't find much.

Is it a drum synth or a hardware controller or what? If all you want to do is play along with Biab tracks then you don't need to do anything inside Biab except mute the drum track. You run Drum X by itself and wail away along with Biab. If you want to integrate it within Biab and record your own drum parts on the drum track that's completely different. Biab works with DXi and VSTi plugins. From what I can see Drum X is not a plugin but check that and let us know.

I learn so much here by reading others posts.

I generally move the tracks to a DAW and then use my drum synth (Jamstix3) to do the drums if I'm not "feelin it" with what BB gave me.

Thank you so much for the reply. "Virtual Drum X" is a software given with the usb drumset but It works not so quite well to me.
In some drummers' forums I read that the majority of them are used to play their drum kit through "Cubase".
I think that Biab is better than "Cubase" (although this two softwares are being created for different purpose) so I would like to find a way to use Biab to assign to my my usb/midi drum kit some midi drumset , and to play along some Biab's style song.
Thanks in advance for any reply.
Cheers gerico.

to follow a link with a description of my usb/midi drumkit, in wich is written about the software given in bundle: "Virtual drumx":

Jt3, I am so sorry to have used your thread. I hope you will find a way that works fine for your question. As we say in Italy: "Have good music!"
