Hallo, ich habe noch BiaB 2006 und bin Anfänger.
Eigentlich funktioniert die Koordination vom PSR8000 und BiaB ganz gut.
Doch es gelingt mir nicht, die beiden Clocks (BiaB und Keyboard) zu synchronisieren.
Unter MIDI Optionen habe ich an "Ausgabe Sync/Start Info" ein Häckchen gemacht.
Das Keyboard wartet auf das Signal. Aber es kommt keins.
Schalte ich in BiaB MIDI Thru ein, ändert sich nichts, ausser, dass nun die BiaB-Stimmen
mitspielen, wenn ich auf dem Keyboard spiele (klingt irre, aber es gibt interessante Kombinationen).
XG-Modus (Midi-Erweiterung von Yamaha) soll ich ja laut Hinweis in BiaB nicht einschalten.
Wenn ich es trotzdem mache, ändert das bzgl. Clock auch nichts.
Normalerweise starte ich BiaB im GS-Modus.
Hat jemand eine Idee, wie die Einstellungen sein müssen, damit die beiden Clocks synchronisieren?

Anscheinend habe ich meine Frage ungenau formuliert, oder ich
habe ein grosses Missverständnis, was BiaBs Syncronisation angeht.
Also:
1. Ich lade in BiaB einen Song oder einen Style (der hat z.B. 120 Beats)
2. Mein Keyboard ist midimäßig (IN und OUT) mit einer externen Soundkarte
(OUT und IN) verbunden. Die Soundkarte (Behringer BCA 2000) ist per USB
mit dem PC verbunden, dient also in diesem Fall nur der Midiverarbeitung.
Mein Klangerzeuger ist also in diesem Fall das Keyboard.
3. Das Keyboard stelle ich auf "Sync Start". Es wartet.
4. In BiaB steht "Ausgabe Sync/Start Info" auf ON. "Thru" sollte in BiaB ausgeschaltet sein,
sonst gibt es evtl. ein Durcheinander.
5. Ich starte nun den BiaB Song oder -Style.
6. Nun erwarte ich, daß die Clock im Keyboard startet und z.B. das
Keyboard-Schlagzeug gemäß der Song-Geschwindigkeit losläuft/mitäuft.
Tut es aber nicht. Der Song wird zwar mit den Instrumenten des Keyboards, die,
wenn ich alles richtig eingestellt habe, mit denen von BiaB übereinstimmen,
richtig abgespielt. Und natürlich kann ich dann auch am Keyboard dazu spielen,
sowie das Ganze auch aufnehmen. Das ist ja der Zweck. Ganz super.
Aber ich hätte am Keyboard weitere Möglichkeiten der Begleitautomatiken,
wenn das Keyboard automatisch in der gleichen Geschwindigkeit spielen würde,
wie der BiaB-Song. - Habe ich da eventuell ein Mißverständnis?
Wahrscheinlich senden die BiaB Songs einfach kein Sync/Start Signal (Midi-Code),
denn ich konnte keinen BiaB-Song oder -Style finden der einen sendet.
Muss ich denn selber den Sync/Start-Midi-Code einfügen?
Wüsste (noch) nicht, wie. - Habe ich noch nicht gemacht.
Oder ist das alles Unsinn, was ich da schreibe bzw. erwarte?

P.S. M3C hat mich bezüglich Upgrade auf BiaB 2009 auf Anfang 2009 verwiesen.

Hallo Jürgen,
vielleicht bleibt das Signal irgendwo in dem Behringer-Teil hängen. Hast Du im Treiber und/oder am BCA 2000 das Signalrouting richtig eingestellt? Ist ja recht komplex das Teil. Ich hatte auch mal gehört, dass Behringer mit dem BCA 2000 erhebliche Treiberprobleme hatte. Weis nicht, ob die inzwischen behoben sind.
Schließe Dein Keyboard doch auch mal versuchsweise ohne den "Umweg" über den BCA 2000 direkt an deinen PC an. Die Yamahas haben doch i.d.R. Midi-Out über USB. Wenn sich dann was tut, liegt es am Behringer.

Danke Ralf für den Tip. Hätte sein können,denn das
Behringer-Teil ist sehr gut, aber kompliziert. Ich habe
nun das Keyboard mal direkt an die Soundkarte des
Rechners angeschlossen. Brachte aber keine Lösung.
Muss ich mich wohl damit abfinden.

Hat die Soundkarte des Rechners denn einen Midi-Anschluss? Wenn nein und Du bist nur mit dem Line-Out des Keyboard in den Line-In der Soundkarte, dann werden ja keine Midi-Daten übertragen und es gibt nix zu synchronisieren.
Wenn ja, dann frage ich mich, warum Du überhaupt den BCA 2000 zwischen Keyboard und Rechner hast. In dem Fall wäre es m.E. doch günstiger, Keyboard und Rechner direkt per Midi zu verbinden.
Worüber spielst Du denn die Nicht-Midi-Klänge ab? Gehen die vom Rechner in Aktivboxen oder eine Stereoanlage oder hängen am Behringer noch Verstärker und Boxen?

Moin Jürgen,
probier mal folgendes:
- In BiaB die Option "Output Chords to External Device" aktivieren
- BiaB und das Keyboard auf das selbe Tempo einstellen
- Keyboard auf Sync Start (o.ä.) stellen
- BiaB starten
Das Keyboard sollte nun den Akkordwechseln des BiaB Songs folgen, spielt aber das eigene Arrangement. Vielleicht hilft dir das weiter ...

PS: Defaultmäßig ist Kanal 9 als Übertragungskanal für die Akkorde eingestellt ...
