There's a wonderful page on facebook called Inverness when you were a kid. Folk about my own age some younger many older discuss past and present issues, characters, buildings, photos etc... re our town. Many of us are sad the way it's degenerated into just another town / city. It's been taken over by chain stores & supermarkets and basically lost it's character. Couple of nights ago I actually dreamt this tune. Following morning I recorded it on the keyboard so's I wouldn't forget the blasted thing. I'm overwhelmed by the response so far. Over 300 plays. Real tracks included in this recording are piano, bass & drums. I play melody and harmony accordion. Memories of Old Inverness

It is a tender tune you have created !
Reminded me of your beautiful homeland and of
Loch Lomond where I once had the pleasure
to view the scenery together with my dear late wife Beni.
A very beautiful landscape, no wonder it
inspires to write such beautiful tunes !:))
I sang Loch Lomond to my wife on the
Bonnie Bonnie Banks of the Loch and
those fateful words of the song "me and my
true love will never meet again on the
Bonnie Bonnie Banks Of Loch Lomond" were
actually true, and they are thus etched
in my memory forever!:))
Beautiful country, beautiful lochs (lake district),
lovely tunes !
I just love the Scots !!:))

Very emotive, Took me straight back to the days when I lived on the Isle of Skye and we'd take the bus over to the big city, Inverness. I've not been back to Skye since the bridge was built and I imagine Inverness has changed too during that time.
But in my memory, when I listen to your beautiful melody, it's just the same as it always was. Thanks.

I always like it when you post a song to the forum. The accordion can be such an intimate instrument, and you play it so well. This song has a very expressive feel to it. Very well done!
