Hi guys. Heres a little question pertaining to ableton live import. Non drum track audio placed into ableton, whether warp is set on or off, unexpectedly requires tweaking of warp markers if u want the tempo to be correct. It makes no difference if u drag from dropbox or explorer. Since the program wants loops to be in correct tempo it reduces the tempo by about 8% if u have an 18 bar pattern or so (with a 2 bar count-in). When u set the beginning to after the count in's blank space it is approximately corrected (but not exactly.) If biab would add an option to create a time length cut off quantized by bar ( not after tail of audio but PRECISELY where the following bar would end) and to slice off the count in (i tried turning it off in preferences variously but the style has real drums and maybe this is why that 2 bar portion remains.) This is similar to mixing down tracks and selecting a bar range, something many of us do in other programs. I guess because ableton is so good at warping loop performing and cubase is a mixing/mastering DAW that is why cubase immediately imports according to the tempo set inside the current project. Ableton, ableton, ableton..
