Hallo Freunde,
die BiaB-Version 2009 auf UltraPAK-HD kann man offenbar auf jeden neueren PC kopieren oder standalone benutzen. Da es ja lfd. neue Updates gibt, nehme ich an, daß man das Programm auf der Platte genauso aktualisieren kann und muß wie auf dem PC. Ist das richtig? D.h. mein UltraPAK build 279 sollte ich mind. auf build 281 bringen wie ich es am PC gemacht habe usw. Dann könnte ich wohl auch auf dem Laptop ohne größere Installation von der USB-Platte starten.

Hallo Friedrich,
so mache ich es auch. Jedes Update immer 2 mal ausführen: 1 mal mit Pfad PC-Installation, 1 mal mit Pfad zur USB-HD. So sind beide Installationen immer auf dem gleichen Stand und Du kannst am PC und Laptop mit derselben Version arbeiten.
Von der "jungfräulichen" Ur-Installation auf der USB-HD, auf die man in Notfällen zurückgreifen könnte, hab ich mir ein Image als Backup gezogen.

Hallo Ralf!
Frage wie hast Du das gemacht, wenn ich richtig verstehe hast Du BIAB 2009 am PC und auf der Hard Disc wie es ja schon vorinstalliert ist bei Ultra Pac. Ich habe BIAB 2009 ebenso auf den PC installiert habe das Routing auf die Hard Disc gelegt. Nun funktionieren perfekt die Realdrums nur bei Realtracks werden diese im BIAB Version die ich am PC habe nicht erkannt. Bitte vielleicht kannst du mir da weiterhelfen.

Hallo Erwin,
ich nutze die USB-HD an einem Laptop. Die PC-Installation von BiaB (eine einfache Kopie der USB-HD in einem Ordner auf der PC-Festplatte) ist auf einem stationären Rechner, der mit Recordingkarte, Mixer, Anschluss an Endstufe usw. besser ausgestattet ist. Der Laptop ist nur für unterwegs oder auf dem Sofa.
Du hast nun viele Möglichkeiten:
1. BiaB/RealBand bleibt auf der USB-HD, dann den Installer im Ordner UltraPAK ausführen. Pfade für RT und RD weisen dann auf die USB-HD. Auf dem PC werden nur die Fonts, DXI usw. eingerichtet.
2. Kopie der USB-HD auf der PC-Festplatte, dann Installer im Ordner UltraPAK (auf PC) ausführen. Pfade für RT und RD weisen auf die PC-HD.
3. Nur die Ordner ".../Programs/BB" bzw. ".../Programs/RealBand" von USB-HD auf die PC-Festplatte kopieren, die RDs und RTs aus Platzgründen aber auf der USB-HD belassen. Wenn du nun BiaB über Klick auf BBW.exe im Ordner /bb auf der PC-Festplatte startest, stelle bitte innerhalb von BiaB in den RT- und RD-Dialogen die Pfade auf die Ordner der USB-HD. So sparst Du Platz, falls die PC-FestPlatte zu knapp ist. RT und RD werden aber trotzem genutzt.
BiaB speichert die Pfade und Voreinstellungen immer in einer config-Datei in dem Ordner, aus dem heraus BBW.exe gestartet wurde. Daher braucht BiAB im Grund auch nicht installiert zu werden. Es reicht, den Ordner /bb irgendwo hin zu kopieren und im RT-/RD-Dialog den Pfad zu den RTs und den Drum-Ordner anzugeben - wo auch immer diese Ordner liegen.
4. Du kannst auch die Ordner "Drums" und "RealTracks" auf eine Netzwerk-Festplatte kopieren und dann von beliebigen BiaB-Installationen auf verschiedenen Rechnern auf die gleichen RT und RD zugreifen. Macht normal keine Sinn, soll Dir aber das Prinzip verdeutlichen, dass man die RD und RT-Ordner einfach auslagern kann, solange man nur BiaB jeweils sagt, wo sie zu finden sind.
