I followed directions as far as I can tell.
Made a folder
Put a SGU file in there
Put a WAV file of me playing in there
They have the same name
It shows up in the User Tracks list
I tried a new song, assigned the User Track to Piano
Hit Play
No sound from that track
Any ideas?

Yes.
Load the song/WAV file into BiaB and play it. If it plays fine, then send us the .zip file (a link to the .zip is fine) and we will try it.

Ah, it worked this time.
Apparently one has to assign the U/T to an already existing track.
It can't be added to a new track.
It sounded very awful by the way. ;-)

You can assign it to a new track. Maybe there,is something else wrong with it. If you want us,to look at it, please email a link to the zip file,of your folder to us.
Lots of our RealTracks sound awful, until we figure out what the problem is. For example, maybe you typed in the wrong chords, or there were timing issues.
