I'm loving the new program's GUI, specially with the addition of CTR+T feature on build 379, but unfortunately the stylepicker window is one of the few GUI elements that hasn't changed at all with 2013.
With so many styles, choosing (ore remembering) the right one is often a time consuming and frustrating experience. We definitively need a new, flexible way of choosing styles, maybe an on-screen database (Excel like) where the user could filter, reorganize, categorize, search or even rename (no more esoteric 8.1 STY names, please) all styles in his own way.

The present Stylepicker is outdated and needs to be modernized to bring more power in the phase of style selection.
It would also included the user styles. This item has been requested for years...

The new GUI is great but it now makes the Stylepicker window look really bad.
The biggest problem for me is the weird, illogical listing of the style categories on the left hand side. I know about the search and filter features but you cannot beat a clear overall listing with more categories, maybe nested, and an immediate indication of which styles have how many RT's, which instruments, tempo range and whether any of the instruments are solos. Also a better integration of user and third party styles. In the actual style information it would be nice to have more examples of well known songs that fit the styles.
Just like the discussion leading up to the new GUI, it needs a professional interface designer who isn't necessarily a musician.
