I preface this post by saying that for every song file I create, I have the embellisher switched on to apply vibrato only on the melody instrument. For me this is a Dorsey type speed and depth and BiaB does a pretty good job of aping slide vibrato. I then save the file with the vibrato applied.
Previously I would use the Melody pull down menu and click the "Embellish Melody During Playback" item, which set a tick beside it so that you could see it was on. I would then play the tune to make sure it was sounding okay. I would then click the "Embellish Melody Dialogue", and the button "(Re)Embellish NOW - Permanent". You would then be told, "Note: Melody has been embellished permanently. Press Undo to reverse this. Note: You currently have set the "Live Auto Embellish During Playback" to true, So, you'll always get a new embellishment when you press PLAY".
All true but I can no longer tick the pull down menu item "Embellish Melody During Playback" and have the tick displayed. And I cannot click it again so that embellishment is not being applied.
What is the new method of switching this on and off? Or is something not operating correctly.

Hi Graham,
I can confirm that it's not possible to engage or disengage "Embellish Melody During Playback" by clicking on it.
The only option is go through the "Embellish Melody Dialog".
I suspect that this is something that support@pgmusic.com would appreciate knowing about.
Why not let them know.

Hi Noel, I always thought that raising something on this forum was letting them know, especially as Peter always seems to be deeply involved when a new release is launched. Plus, it needs a confirmation such as yours just to make sure I am not doing something stupid.
I have discovered that it is possible to use the same method as I used previously but, instead of using the pull-down menu, use the 'Embellisher' button in tools. I think this should be duplicated on the pull-down menu, especially as the embellisher button is off the screen at the end of the tools list and I am not yet sure how to move the button around, assuming you can. Guess I'll need to play with it a bit more.

Hi Graham, I don't know about when you first joined the forums but these days, raising something in the forum might or might not be picked up by PG Music staff since these are essentially user forums. At the moment, topics are moving through very quickly and easily lost. Just yesterday, I went to find something I commented on only a week ago and it was 3 or 4 pages in. Personally, if I were you, I'd send a quick email to Support. They appreciate being told about behaviour that varies from what it used to be. That's just my tuppence worth, though. You can turn the embellisher on using the Embellisher button, and choose the first item "Embellisher Enabled".
The item called "Embellish Melody During Playback" on the Melody menu is indeed not working. I'll hook it up (ie fixed in the next patch version), but until then you should use the Embellisher button (as described above). That button is on the Tools toolbar (you may need to press the Arrow button at the right of the tools toolbar to see it)
