I have just completed a new original song. The inspiration came from just playing with RB2009! Although it is a sad-ish song it is not from personal experience---- Just from a RealBand experience! (And a lot of production tweaking and poking ;o)
I'm very excited pleased with the result. RB is making my life so much easier!

The song can be heard here:
I'm Not What You Want

Thanks for giving it a whirl,
Dave.

I like the song! Its good sitting in the balcony looking at the horizon at dusk.

Whats the bpm that you usually select? (beats per min)
Did you use external instruments or purely real band BIAB ?

And are the other songs using Real band as well?

Thanks Asian Sun and Rob.

The BPM for this one started at 65 but I wanted it slightly faster (about 70) but increasing the BPM in BB or RB can sometimes cause unwanted artifacts which in more aparent on acoustic guitar so transposed the track in a wav editor which brought it to 70BPM and a semitone higher.

I used an acoustic guitar patch from sampletank for the intro, solo and end. Apart from that it was RB and adjustments!

Of my other songs to which you refer, "The Message" was RB, the others were not..

Hope this addresses your questions,

Thanks,

Kindest Regards,

Dave.

Dave, that was pro all the way!

Great vox and super mix.

I listened to a couple of your other songs and I must admit you are one talented person.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Dave,

Good song and nice job on the recording/mixing. I am finding that a lot of the tunes I am trying to get into BIAB/RB are not at that "recommended" BPM setting, so I am going to be fighting those "artifacts".

Thanks Kevin.
Yeah it's worth tweaking to lose the artifacts and sometimes the other instruments can help mask them to some extent. Peter Gannon told me it is something they are continually striving to improve so here's to the future updates!

Cheers,
Dave.

PS Just been listening to some of the tracks you've been working on...... There's some pretty cool stuff there! I'm gonna listen some more tomorrow, it's late here ;o)
