Hi folks,
I hope its ok to ask this on forum if not feel free to remove my post.
Just wondering if anyone got a good biab file of Slim Whitmans song "China Doll"
I have tried the biab yahoo group and looked at their Allsongs file but I'm out of luck.
Thanks a lot for any help

Did he used to be someone? All I remember of that name is some infuriating commercials interrupting my viewing of "Brady Bunch" reruns when I was a kid. Maybe If I were old enough to have watched the series when it originally broadcast I would have felt differently.
Think they missed their target audience.
Strangely enough, my oldest daughter really likes old western yodelers...

yes Slim was very big in his day, lived to a grand old age of 90 I believe. Never seen him live, though looking at his youtube videos seemed to be a little dull of a performer, though a great singer. As regards the song itself, Im more of a fan of this Irish country singer who sang it in his heyday, an old guy now too unfortunately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4g6z9ygj7sIsn't it a shame how we chronicle and see the stars when they were young and just look at them now. We are all going the same way too.

Joe,
I don't have this file but it seems it would not take very long to put one together, have you started yet? If you need help just let me know and when I get a few minutes I'll throw a good starter file together for you.
later,

As Danny said Joe, would only take a few minutes to put together your own version. I could also do a file if you're stuck

Ah thanks a million for the offer guys, just goes to show what a great helpful forum this is.
I think I will have a go at doing it as the chords are straight forward enough just the three primary and a D7 if in key of C.
Reason I was asking was it seems that the steel guitar plays a big part for the backing of this song and sounds good on it, would have been very handy if there was a file aready out there, but it seems not
Lazy me!! Will just have to get auditioning a few styles and maybe steel guitars. An accordion would sound good too instead of the steel, that's Grahams speciality.
Thanks guys
joe

Music is an expression that is a universal language, Never criticize anybody to harshly. They need time to grow but when they do, they do. Always be kind in what you say and do because the man upstairs is watching.
