Can someone help me with a problem that I am having in the Piano Roll?
Here is the problem/question:
Is it possible to change what key C#3 plays ( drum brushes ) to key C#4 instead.
Using Kontakt 5 ( as vst plugin ) running N.I. Abby Road Vintage Drums in drum track. The Brush Articulation that I want is assigned to key C#3. I can here the Brushes fine while listening to the tune in BIAB. But when I record the tune to wav. the drum track is empty. I have to move the note up to C#4 to get the closest sound to the brushes.... I want the BRUSHES!
Is it possible to make the brushes play/trigger on C#4 instead of C#3 ??? Or any other key for that matter.
Thanks guys!

If you click on the the key in the piano roll this will select all notes on that key, then hold the Shift key and move it up up down to the key you want, it will move all those notes to the new key. You may have to zoom in with the + at the bottom right.

Just to add a small clarification, click on the piano-roll to select all notes on that key, then click on the note to move it.

Thanks for the reply. Tried what you explained. It did not do what I was wanting. After playing around for a while today I think I may have found a work around. But there has got to be a way to make a patch trigger on a certain key .

You can reassign what note triggers each drum sound by creating a drum patch map.
I don't have specific how to do it instructions but you should be able to search in the BIAB help for step by step instructions.
BIAB has allowed the use of drum patch maps since before the general midi standard was first published in the eighties. Before the general midi standard was published it was pretty common to have to create a patch map for each instrument you used. Today it is not as common.
Another trick you may want to try is to change your BIAB midi setting from general midi to another midi setting like XG MIDI. Some of the other midi settings transpose instruments up or down an octive.

Im using the Abby Road Drums. I am NOT using the "groove beats" YET. lol I guess that I am using the drums generated by BIAB but through the Kontakt/Abby Road Sample engine...

See at the bottom you have Grooves tab and you can create drums keyed to the Abbey Rd Drums. But it should render to wav the same as what you hear, I just rendered it to wav in mine and it was the same as what I heard in BB, that was in 2014 but I will try again in 2013. Do you get the drum beats sound when you drag the note in the piano roll ?
I can get all of the drum parts.... the problem is the routing... I need to be able to swap the drum parts of C#3 to C#4 I have read about how to Create a Drum Patch Map but cant really understand the directions.... Its gotta be possible to re-map which keys trigger which drum parts.....

Normally you just select all notes on the key and move them to the key (hit) you want, if you can hear the notes (hits) as you move them that is great, but in mne I can't hear the notes like in other piano rolls in other DAWs. You can try MidiMapper it will remap the midi file to different drum VSTi's. You can also put the song in RealBand and just drag n drop the grooves out of Kontakt groove library to make the exact drum beat you want.
Just to sum up what I've learned by trial and error about this post of mine. Maybe it will help someone in the future.
1. To manually insert drum notes into the Piano Roll that will export to the final .wav file..... you must allow BIAB to generate the drum track FIRST! Then go in and move those GENERATED NOTES around wherever you want them.Use COPY & PASTE with these GENERATED NOTES throughout the tune. You can use the Shift+Control+Left Click to enter notes manually. You will hear these notes during playback while in BIAB. But these manually entered notes WILL NOT be recorded to the final .wav file.
2.You can Freeze & Save the file anytime AFTER you allow BIAB to generate the track first.
3.Be sure to leave yourself some of the random notes generated in case you need them.
