Hi its a while since i have been on BB But i have just bought an Atari STE along with Band in a Box version 5 1992 and it is awesome ,unbeleavable that from all those years ago BB version 5 1992 can still knock amazing tunes out ,i am loading Beatle songs in to it at the moment only instrumentles but outstanding qaulity ,but showcase doesnt give a slot for the Arari ste how ever i could run the Atari ste in to real band and record the instrumental there if that is allowed and maybe do a youtube video ,best wishes Brian.

I wrote my first user styles on an Atari/ST. It was a great computer for it's day.
I gave two STs away about a year ago. Didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping them for the money eBay would bring me.
I still have some software that I have always planned to put up on eBay, but never seem to make the effort to do so.
Enjoy your new old 'puter.

Nice Brian. I've had my Amiga 500 in mothballs for about 20 years. I got started with MIDI on that computer with DR. T's KCS back in the day.

Hi Steve, well you have the queen of them all ,the Amiga 500 the sweetest of all and the software to die for ,and the only one apart from the real expensive ones that i never owned ,and you need to get rid of the mothballs Steve and bring it back to life once again ,i get such a buz when i boot them all up and the floppy drives almost sound like they are talking to each other as the Amiga 1200 surfs the net and the Amiga 600 belts out Beatle tunes non stop from the newly attached cd player and reader ,both the Amiga,s have accelerators and optical mice fitted and both can surf the net and i know what folk will say that its not the standard Amiga but the motherboard s are original and all the inners are the same ,just a little upgrade and shes a star ,very best wishes Brian.

I am another who traveled the Atari road to PCs. I started with a Bally programmable game system, to Atari to PCs. I programmed a couple of games for the Bally user group and I programmed a golf game for the Atari. Once I discovered what those four weird looking inputs were my programming came to a halt and my computer music hobby came to life! My wife stills says that I took two expensive hobbies and combined them into one very expensive hobby!
Anyone remember Dr T’s software for the Atari?
The fitness trainer asked me, "What kind of a squat are you accustomed to doing?" I said, "Diddly."

Awesome. If I recall, my 500 has an internal memory upgrade to 1 or 2 meg. It's stock processor is a whopping 7 MHz. I have an external hard drive/accelerator that boosts it to 40 MHz and that's where it was left.

Hi Brian.
I'm another fan of the Amiga.
Back in about 1990 we were producing video animation on a pair of Amiga 2000s - the big metal boxed one. They were absolutely brilliant machines, but the 8meg memory up-grade cost over £1000. Can you believe that?
Video was handled by Deluxe Paint, which was way ahead of it's time and audio was courtesy of Passport and DrT's. Happy days.
Nice to see some of the old machines still in use.
ROG.

ROG. Hi Rog real nice to hear from you my friend and wow thats some memory upgrade and the price is unbeleavable . Ihave always liked the 2000 but boy do they fetch big money even on Ebay , and producing video animation must have been a dream come true and way beyond my skill level although i have watched loads of video on youtube . as for the old machines in use ,there is still a lot of folk using them and buying them but i have to admit at 55 yrs old i had never seen one or used one ,but now i am 60yrs old i have them all over the place and cant beleave i missed out all them years ago but so lucky to be able to make up for lost time now ,even my friends children cant wait to play the simplist of games on my Amiga 1200 and the 600 lol makes you wonder doesnt it ,take care my friend Brian.
