Hi All Here is a song that a couple of you may have seen me performing on streetjelly. It is another one I wrote on my trip around Zimbabwe. It is basically trying to say that the main problem with this Rhino thing is the ****ards who are buying the stuff. The poachers themselves are the puppets on their "Fools Errand". The video has been "monetised" on Youtube in an attempt to try and raise some money. I would appreciate it if you could share it around on Facebook etc so that it gets some views. Josie, a fabulous job on the song as well as the story.
As stewards over the animal kingdom, man has failed miserably.
I have read that thousands of species are becoming extinct every day but go unnoticed because of their relative insignificance. To see the Rhino being decimated is absolutely tragic. Thanks for making the world aware. Unfortunately, I believe it's a matter of "too little, too late!"

A terrific recording. Good vocals and a good mix (those acoustic guitars sound good!)
The video is nice. I thought you could have used some text showing over the ending photo quickly reiterating the numbers and mentioning the "proceeds going to..." once more....

Thanks for that comment. I agree. We have failed miserably. I hope and pray that it is not too late for the rhino. Awareness is the key.

Thanks for that. I have added an annotation with the statistics and reminding viewers were the proceeds will go. We had 500K rhinos in the early 20th century and now we have less than 30K. Over 1000 rhinos were poached in South Africa in 2013 alone. Appalling really.

A situation that definitely needs more attention. Rhinos, elephants, exotic birds, leopards, the list goes on and on and is probably happening in your backyard on a micro scale. You are doing a wonderful thing with this and the emotion put into it shows both on the audio and video. And a fine production to wrap it all in.

Hi Trevor I agree with you 100%. The end users have absolutely nothing to gain other than some sort of bogus vanity claim. The poachers are just puppets who see an animal wandering around the bush with a lump of gold on its face.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing.
