Thanks so much for uploading it Cheryl. Makes this old Irishman blush! You don't know how difficult that is to do.

Some of us march to the beat of different drummer; while others among us didn't even realize there was a parade.

Thanks for listening and especially for commenting. Your opinion is very important to me, you seem to have both oars in the water. Thanks again, Bob, my friend.

I actually did not know what Cheryl was plotting until a friend PM'ed me yesterday with the link.

I joined Cheryl's 10-Song Challenge so, hopefully, she'll post upwards of two more each week, including my BIAB originals. I have hundreds of those! lol

Bob, true, "hundreds!"

Rather than bore my PG friends, please give your email address or Facebook name so I can send a few at a time.

I won a competition with "A Summer Breeze", I'll send that one to your FB page.

Thanks again, amigo.

PS: My email address is: dongaynor at yahoo dot com it would simplify things if you were to send the first message. My dexterity doesn't make entering addresses easy or not very challenging.

Later,

Danny, I've covered the song since I first heard it while I was vocalist and younger audience "draw" in a "Standards Band" called The Arrowhead Trio +2 in Northern Minnesota. I even remember the the place where I first heard it, Lake View Tavern. I was probably 17 but the Sheriff never carded members of the band. It's yesterday that's a blur!

I messaged the Rebold Manor Administrator yesterday regarding your visit and entertaining we FOIs (Flatulent Old Irishmen) on the 27th and she was thrilled.

I'm counting the days, mon ami!

Danke, Guido! I truly appreciate your comments.

I absolutely love your part of the world and I remember Country Music being very popular in Germany. In fact, Country Music was the only genre being played on AFRS (Armed Forces Radio Service) when I was there. NCO clubs got more variety in entertainment but, I saw and met the top names in Country Music.

Charlie Pride had just broken the unofficial "color barrier" of Country Music when he came to my NCO Club. He's a fabulous entertainer. The naysayers were struck speechless.

A humerus music-related experience was when going to local bars and hearing flawless covers of American Rock & Roll, only to learn later that they didn't know a single word of English, they had learned the hit songs phonetically without understanding what they were singing.

Fond memories, my friend.

Isn't that great? We've never met in person, and through recordings like this I can hear your voice.

Thanks for sharing that link.

Hi Don, great rendition ...

My favourite un-expected version is the Van Morrison and Linda Gail Lewis version from his album "You win again"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARB6pjNyYWI

If you are a Van Morrison fan and would like to hear him sing country try checking out his "Pay the Devil" album. I personally was blown away by it

Listen to his version of "your cheating heart"

Don that is the way country should sound!

Two thumbs up and it's a keeper!

Don, Well done. It's nice to hear your voice. The feel of the arrangement is very true to the original. You sound like you are enjoying singing the song. Not every singer can make that connection.
