I could never get my version of "Ghost Riders in the sky"'s timing 100%
On my bar 13 I had to remember this creative "extra" little pause to get the following chord on time.
So today I was fixing up a few songs and decided to spend some time on this one.
I then used F5 and shortened bar 13 to 2 beats and the change-over was now perfect!!!
BUT.....
Now the rest of the bars ALSO stayed on 2 beats..I had to then do an F5 on bar 14 and reset it to 4 beats..
Works a charm but did not expect the 2 beats to stick as the label of the setting implies that it should be just for that bar?
Not a major issue as I do not mind doing the juggling with the next bar.
Am I wrong or is the behavior as YOU guys expects it to be?
After all these years I am learning more and more and loving this program more and more ......

That is the way BiaB and music in general works. A key signature and/or a time signature at a given bar will stay in active until either the end of the piece or until another key or time signature is inserted.
Whenever I get something stuck in the back of my throat, I dislodge it by drinking a beer.

Yep, that's what I found out as well, I had to change the tempo back on the following bar and as MarioD states guess that the way music works in general. It seems with this program I am always learning something.... and that is a good thing!

I really have NO issue with that at all as the alternative is to go back to my Chinese drummer and that is no option!! LOL
The label could have said "# Beats from this bar onwards.."
But, Still did exactly what i needed to do....

Right, there are two things being discussed here. One is the substance of the command to change beats per bar and then change them back, which works as described. The other is how the command is worded, or perhaps where it is placed (in this case, within a menu dedicated to bar settings). If you have a suggestion how to phrase it or place it differently, put a post in the Wishlist. Particularly during beta testing but not only then, Peter Gannon has always listened to our suggestions for clearer prompts.
